Cafe Plus, Denton — Restaurant in Tameside

Visited for the first time for a little 'ladies lunch'. One of our little party was delayed for over half an hour. The staff brought us our drinks and then left us undisturbed until the final member of our party arrived. They didn't make us feel we were unwelcome or taking up a table without ordering. The food is excellent, freshly prepared (leek and potato soup was delicious!). Good range of cafe type items from all day breakfast, baked potatoes, Paninis, even a couple of spaghetti dishes at lunchtime. Prices very reasonable, service friendly, prompt and efficient. It was a lovely relaxed experience Special thanks to the team for checking the sausages on the all day breakfast to see if they were suitable for gluten intolerant (sadly they weren't but they took care removing them from the plate and even made a small reduction on the breakfast price to account for the lack of sausage). Not sure why it's taken me this long to review Cafe Plus, especially being so local to us. But if you haven't been, then you're definitely missing out.

Visited here for breakfast and lunch on a number of occasions with family. And the staff have always been really friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and serene. No pressure or rushing guests so you can really relax.

Now on to the food!! The Turkish breakfast 😋 has been consistent every time, while it may seem expensive it's definitely worth a try.

The English breakfast is a large portion, infact all the meals are.

The dessert is also delicious, maybe a bit too sweet for some. With the kids, I should have ordered desserts after the mains, as it was a bit too much food/dessert to finish 😅

I'm sure we'll be back for more, definitely need to try the Turkish...

Really glad to see places like this open in the area so went along to give some support and get some grub.

The place is nice and bright inside, there’s probably a few jobs to finish off in the place but it’s a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. If I could be critical the music - which was non descript piano jazz - was a bit too loud.

The menu looks like there’s lots to choose from no matter if you’re a veggie or not, and there’s also a few specials so keep an eye on the boards too. Drinks menu is good, looks like they do Turkish coffee so if you like a strong brew this will be for you.

I had a nice wrap and the Missus a salad - the portions were big and the food was really nice too. There’s a lot on the menu I would have like to try too so looking forwards to going back there. Price was reasonable too so can’t...
