Poundbakery — Restaurant in Tameside

I bought 4 pasties and was given 2 burnt ones. There were plenty on the tray so it wasn’t a last of batch thing. I didn’t check them at the time as I was with my baby who was fussing, but I also did not think I would need to check that I was being served edible pastries! I think this was defiently done on purpose as the employee could see I wasn’t watching what she was serving me being busy with my baby - I’m shocked that anyone would do this but now know to check next time! Clearly quality control isn’t being followed here as these should not have been available for purchase at all. I would go back but by the time I’d noticed I’d come home and would mean another trip back which I don’t have time for when I have a small baby. Not to mention used to be two for £1 and now it is...

Staff are fantastic! The shop is very tidy love the selection ! When they first opened years ago I did not get it ! But now love it ! Why 4 stars because the pastry is to thin to hold the weight of the filling and they are very generous with it ! I found most of it leaked into the bag a bit messy ha ha...

Yesterday I watched a staff member drop a baguette on the floor and pick it up and carry on making a sandwich... As I turned to leave another staff member was running her hands round the waistband of her trousers... No gloves worn and clearly no food hygiene goin on here... I used to go everyday but...
