Greggs Breakfast Review - Impressed but Room for Improvement
I had my first breakfast at Greggs recently and was overall very impressed! The bacon was crispy, the roll fresh, and the hot chocolate was delicious.
My only observation is that the staff making the sandwiches had to switch between handling cash at the register and preparing food. While this might not be a major issue, it did raise a question about hygiene. It wasn't clear if they were sanitizing their hands after handling cash before making the next sandwich.
To improve the overall experience, I would suggest having a dedicated staff member prepare breakfast items during peak hours. This would allow the cashier to focus on taking orders and payments, minimizing customer wait times, and ensuring better hygiene practices.

Ordered a click and collect pizza to wait an extra 20 minutes past the pick up time.
My girlfriend was given the wrong order, which we quickly realised and took it back in to be given the correct order.
The staff member who served us deflected the blame onto my girlfriend, and blatantly lied saying my girlfriend had given her a different name. The names were not even alike, so this is unacceptable.
As I was walking off she carried on deflecting the blame muttering under her breath.

Read moreI am giving it 5 stars purely for the 2 women who were serving this morning and were literally run ragged. Greggs need to employ an extra person to serve, as they have one person assigned to the take away (just eat orders etc) and the other one dealing with the queue of people coming into the shop. These two women were going as fast as they could and a queue still formed and some of the delivery drivers for the take away stuff were just downright rude to them. They deserve a medal in my eyes!
