On arrival greeted by an elderly man in slides, toes on full display. Dirty napkin folded on the table and dirty cutlery also set on the table. At this point I should have left. Poppadoms came in a metal basket/plate covered in thick black dusty oil inside the pattern of the plate. The dining plates were so old that all the writing had worn off and the cutlery looked like it had been through a cement mixer. The restaurant is in desperate need of a refresh and the most recent paintwork seems to have been applied by a toddler. I asked for tap water 7 times before receiving any. I ordered a Makhani, they came out with a tikka masala asked who’s it was, we hadn’t ordered, but my Makhani was missing, I queried it, they took the tikka masala back into the kitchen and then brought it back out a minute later claiming it was a Makhani. It was a Tikka Masala (an average one at best).

The servers would just drop cutlery on the table for us to sort out ourselves and food was given out to the wrong people with no effort to get it right. They do not...

A Warlingham institution on the village green, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Narrow interior creates a cosy atmosphere. Menu is typical of most curry houses. Generous portions, cheap prices by 2023 inflated standards so good value for money. Service is fast and attentive, but manner can be a bit abrupt.
