Wow, I can hardly belive the difference, it staff friendlyness, cleanliness, efficency and general customer service, I was shocked!. I know many of these stores have had a Refit and changed the way they do food, apparently it's "made for you" when you order! I always thought having spent, who knows how much on a Refit, that it should improve the look, feel quality and speed. I guess I got that wrong? Ordered on the app, because they say " it will make it quicker" , well after 45 mins, still waiting for 3 d cheeseburgers never arrived. Now don't get me wrong this place was busy, but they were clearly out of thier depth. I believe they call this process the 7 p's, poor planning produces p poor performance perpetually.
What has happened to the fast food industry? Specifically MCD's? They have gone backwards. This system is not an improvement at all. The food was cold, missing items, poor staff attitude and not a white shirt in site, eg no managers at all. Eventually asked for a refund for the food thst never came.
Here is a point. Order on screen "made for you", so obviously some else got my Double cheese burgers, so the system is flawed..... Badly flawed Still. Did I mention it took 23 minutes to get first part of the order. Who got the rest of it? Was it a mistake or did one if the staff give it to a friend? It happens alot!
Seriously who ever runs this joint needs assistance, whoever owns this might actually want to deal with this issues.
After all every parent in the UK knows it half term, so why didn't the business manager know and staff accordingly prep?
There is only one redeeming factor in all of this, the 2 staff running around in the seating area were trying their best but obviously overwhelmed too. I wiped my own table, but not a biggie. But add this to the fast food fiasco, where the food wasn't even quality, much less fast, I wonder why people put up with such short sighted planning and quality. Let be streight here, no one cares about your staffs lack of trading, accountability, your poor management, your food supply problems, that is your responsibility not the customers. Stop making excuses for bad practice and performance and who ever is in charge, "if indeed there is someone in charge" maybe the owners should be supporting them rather that leaving them to pick up the flack.
There is no doubt in my mind this is not an easy business to run. But I always understood, good leadership starts by ac tually leading so being front and center not hiding and leaving those with no stars on their badge to deal with the fallout of the 7 p's.
You would of thought by now MCD's having spent possibly minions of dollars in how to train, might actually have trained some in this store for a higher volume day.
I wonder how many staff went home yesterday and were completly deflated and thought, did I really sign up for this.
I can't imagine how many staff stay here for long, with this sort of shocking results.
On the way out the door a manager (well someone in a white shirt) was rushed over to the other side of the dinning area to be greeted by an upset customer no doubt having been serviced just like me. I did t wait to hear the conversation.
It's not rocket science is just a bugger bar, and today a pathetic attempt of fast & quality food. Shame on the owners, really has it got so bad that you do not...
Read moreI have a little ritual, one the morning I get a haircut I will go to McDonald's for a breakfast before my train to work. The food is always just right, the food is made to a great standard. Doesn't taste greasy like most and the bacon actually has flavour which I have noticed in some across Devon with it being very bland. The staff in this branch are all lovely and extremely helpful! Their is one person in particular, with very short hair, always so cheerful, smiley, happy to serve you. In April this year for April Fools day McDonald's annouced the McPickle sandwich, as a pickle lover that sounds too much haha but I wanted to try it even though it was a joke. I asked the staff at the till if they can add loads and loads to my quarter pounder burger and they had a little giggle knowing what I was doing and actually did it for me which I amazing! The fries are perfect here too, not too salty, they are always fresh tasting and defiantly warm. The coffees are perfect too, the Toffee Latte is incredible and they are generous and fill it to the brim and not half way like many others. One down side is the school kids being rowdy, loud, sometimes even being saying some rude comments to other customers which is disgraceful. Very fast service and an ice-cream machine that is always working!...
Read moreAt Drive through, provided drinks and mcflurries then asked to wait in a bay. Go to oblige only to find there are no spaces as they have sent so many people to "wait". Hovered to wait for the next space. Deputy manager George comes out and asks you to park at sainsburys. I said I would rather not as more than once i have been parked to wait for an order which never arrives and had to go back in, didn't want to be forgotten over in sainsburys and to end up woth melted mcflurries. He reassures me that he will get the order ready personally. I park, order does come over a little time later, I leave. Get home to find parts of the order missing, shock. Later I go back to ask for a refund on the items they never provided. They get awkward about it and only partially refund so I will now need to chase up with their HO. So many times at drive through items are missing. Poor service. Poor management. Poor attitudes. Don't ask me to park in another establishments car park, don't get my order wrong, don't refuse me for a refund when the product I purchased...
