This is a beautiful Restaurant in a prime seaside setting with payable parking adjacent that is fully refundable, with indoor & outdoor seating that has absolutely amazing staff as from the moment I arrived until the time I left I was treated with the utmost respect & was made to feel very welcome & was never made to feel uncomfortable by being alone. I arrived for my reservation as this was my first time visiting Essex, I was greeting with a warm welcome by the young man at the desk who took me to a table by the window that if it had been earlier, I would of been able to see the sea, my server was attentive and looked after me throughout, I ordered my drink and was told to just go up for the carvery when I was ready, when I got there I waited for the Chef as I was the only person there, when he came out he was as friendly as the other two members of staff, he asked what I'd like, I asked for pork & turkey, he cut a slice of pork, then went to cut some turkey, but didn't seem happy with what was left visually, so he asked if I was in a hurry as he was going to get a fresh turkey which was unbelievable, he arrived back and carved me a good portion of the turkey & apologized for the wait, the rest of the produce looked almost empty with the exception of the cabbage, I took what I could, but when I got back to the table sadly it was almost cold, but it was still very tasty, my server came to take my plate away and managed to talk me into dessert which I NEVER eat, I'm so glad she did as the chocolate brownie & ice cream was delicious, overall I can't wait to go back next time I visit Clacton.

The place is amazing , the food was fresh as ever but with the place re-vamped everything just felt so much better ,, always hassle free from the moment of booking to checking in ( special mention to Steph) welcoming our arrival specially mine as I had to do a quick shop run in between she kindly reminded me about my parking and seating area! And also Andrew as always being excellent !! The place looks a thousand times better but still no fizzy drinks and ice machine 🤣 but we could do our re fills from the bar so really no dramas but yeah overall a 💯 much better place ! Toby’s was beautiful and excellent clean fresh dinner , all the meats and veg were beautiful , chefs doing the carvery were professional, clean and friendly ,,, and we had a laugh for my missus birthday,,, we will be coming back frequently as usual ! Even more now … looks so new and clean and fresh .. Clacton needed this re vamp !! Much better than the Toby in Stanton !! Anyways thank u all . X

Had 2 breakfasts here during our stay was very tasty and very reasonably priced unlimited at £7pp you can even get a yorkshire which I've never seen with a breakfast! The pancakes available on only one of the occasions were really tasty aswel. Staff did seem a little all over the place with seating you etc but maybe just because they were busy, I've also only give 4* as feel like on the 1st visit they should have warned us breakfast was due to finish as we literally filled our plates and sat down and they started removing the platters to put the lunch platters out at around 11am which as an unlimited breakfast should have been told would only get 1 plate out of it but overall was very tasty and good value would recommend and return myself

I went for the extra large which defeated me 3/4 of the way through. All the meats plus 2 sausages and a The biggest yorkie or 2. Then help yourself to the veg and sides. Was tasty and fresh and would recommend. Price was a little expensive and maybe upped the prices for the august holiday. £8.99 plus £1.99 to go large. Plus £3.99 for refill drinks. This is pretty standard for eating out but it used to be £5.99 for a midweek carvery making it a bit more affordable when taking the family. We went again for breakfast a few days later and again was lovely and all help yourself with a huge Yorkshire pudding to go with! Lovely. Overall was a nice filling meal and would recommend.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Toby Carvery for turning a windy day at the airshow into a delightful experience. Our waitress, Lisa, truly stood out with her warmth and professionalism, even after a particularly hectic day. The food selection was fantastic, and the staff, especially Lisa, were exceptional. It was a magical day spent with family, and I can't thank them enough for their wonderful service. Highly recommend!
