An absolute gem of a place, located in the grounds of King Johns House, this is an ancient English garden in the heart of Romsey. The house is a tourist attraction in itself, but also has Miss Moodys Tudor Tea rooms where you can sit outside in the sun or inside and enjoy some lovely sandwiches. Staff are super friendly. And the food was great as well. Worth locating this tea room for an extra special experience.

Quaint and peaceful, so friendly and welcoming. The homemade scones and cakes are delicious! Also being owned and run by the King John's House charity is giving something back to the community of Romsey. Highly recommend a visit! Newly opened in August 2025 in new location after the fire in the older part of the building.

Really disappointing visit. No savoury scones left. As we were ordering at precisely 2.30 pm which is the cut off time for lunch food they wouldn’t let us order anything from the food menu. They had just taken a food order from the person in front but because we were queuing by the time they got round to taking our order we were 10 seconds too late as it had just turned 2.30 pm (despite the place closing at 4 pm) so all we could then get was cake and fruit scones. Took quite a while for things to arrive. We also had to chase them about part of our order as they had forgotten it. They then cleared our table telling us they were getting ready to close, it was 3.37 pm and my son was just finishing his drink. Tried to exit through the garden but they had already locked the gate. So not a great visit which...

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a traditional Christmas lunch at Miss Moody's Tudor Tea Rooms on December 10th, and it was an absolute delight! This was their first time hosting such an event, and they truly exceeded expectations. The food was freshly cooked, full of flavour, and simply delicious.

The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and you could tell that a lot of care went into making everything just right.

This was a Christmas treat for my mother, and we both had a wonderful time, it was a memorable and special occasion that captured the spirit of the season. I highly recommend Miss Moody's Tudor Tea Roms, we'll...

On line it looked lovely . Chose it for authentic tea room . In reality it was very different. Barely friendly. Had to sit outside, more than a slight wasp problem . A jam jar put to attract wasps away from tables ,didn’t work . Several Tables available inside, but told no Even when told of wasp problem . Tables inside empty the whole time . Can only think they didn’t want to move a chair to accommodate 4 or re dress table cloths after . Cappuccino from a packet No menu and limited choice not like the pictures. Plenty of tea shops to try in Romsey Would not go back .felt abit of an inconvenience. The piece of cake was. Nice but 6- 8 wasps...
