Mori Mori — Restaurant in Thanet

Fantastic!!! We got screwed over by another restaurant late on Saturday night and with several dietary requirements, we were a bit concerned, so we headed to Mori Mori. Initially, they weren't able to offer a table for 5, but a few minutes later, they found us outside and sorted us out.

They went above and beyond to make up for the poor treatment of the other restaurant, which they didn't need to do. Our server was a joy, he told me what was vegan (lots!) and we had the BEST meal. The lady running things was exhausted from a busy day but she powered through and we couldn't have been more grateful.

Honestly, this place is delicious and such a great vibe. The roku gin and citrus soda is my new go to drink. Oh and the ice cream is all vegan, and so so good. I'll be bringing my husband here next time we...

My mum went to pick up some food for me as I love a nice ramen! Ramen was lovely, miso soup was nice. The only option for tuna sashimi was as a main with rice, but it would be nice if it was possible to order it alone (+ ginger, wasabi). The main portions are definitely on the smaller side and more expensive in comparison to other Japanese restaurants (happy samurai, mr miyagi). Dessert was somewhat disappointing as the cheesecake was not baked or set in form, crushed ginger biscuit base with what might have been mascarpone/quark mixed with matcha powder on top, also very small for £7.50. I have been trying to book this restaurant for close to two years and I have still not managed to eat here. Just to explain, I have relatives in the area so when ever I visit the first I do is try and book Mori Mori. I use the website and every time I try and book, I get some kind of excuse about why they can't take the booking. I honestly don't know how they are still in business. First few times I just put it down to luck. But there is a clear pattern emerging now and I can only say, don't bother trying to book, just eat somewhere else.
