I cannot believe the service I have recieved tonight, 2hrs 40mins later…. A dish missing and most of it is cold and full of oil! Naan bread seems to be nooked in microwave. Everytime I called I was told 10mins, I will call you back. No phone call back. My husband walks down to the restaurant to find it not busy and for them to say it’s just left…. Yet it still took another 10mins to get to me and Im not far. Ruined an anniversary night in. Husband walks back into the shop to say this ain’t on not only the food 2hrs and 40mins late half’s cold and a dish is missing I would like refund… they stand and argue with him, calling him a liar regarding missing dish. £68 down the Swany! Won’t be going here or recommending...

I visit Margate about twice a year and always used to go to The Golden Curry. There’s been a generational change recently, and the new owner (I think his name is Makboh) is really friendly and welcoming.

I went there with my young daughter, and we both really enjoyed the food — tasty, creamy, and not too spicy, so great for kids or anyone who prefers milder flavours. Of course, you can still go for a vindaloo or something hotter if you like.

They don’t serve alcohol, but you can just pop next door to the corner shop to buy a beer or whatever you prefer — they’ll happily give you a glass for it.
