Niihaw Tonbridge — Restaurant in Tonbridge and Malling

Hello this is a reply on behalf of Niihaw,

I want to say that we have a few reviews saying that the delivery is slow, we are working on a more effective way to get deliveries with you on time. Our aim to get food to you within an hour, however it needs to be brought to attention that during our busiest times delivery might unfortunately be a little longer.

We also now have a service charge of 15% from 5:30 pm daily for the fact we turn into a restaurant style. The service charge is to cover the fact we prepare and cook everything entirely fresh for you and also have table service and waiting on tables of an evening.

On a separate note, all food is prepared fresh and handmade here on site everyday day. Even if it is in the fridges or hot food display, it is made freshly.

As a new business there are a few glitches in the way we do things but we're working on rectifying them. So if you have any comments they are all welcome good or bad. I hope this cleared up some of the comments we've had.

Ordered the yasi (vegetarian) ramen & some vegetarian dimsum. Overall the food was nice. I wasn't blown away though but it wasn't bad. Portions & prices were fair. The dimsum tasted nice but much like the ones I cook at home from the freezer. The ramen was ok but not really to pallet / preferred taste. It was a little too salty & tasted quite strong of like the curry ramen packets you get. Plus points however: the tofu & sweet potato in the ramen were very yummy. On reflection I'd maybe skip the ramen and just order the inari tofu and sweet potato croquettes as sides. It was my first time ordering food , and it arrived on time which judging from other reviews can be a problem for some people but I'm my case it was on time. Would I return as a customer? possibly but I'd order different items. Overall 3/5. As I wasn't all that impressed by the food I ordered but it wasn't terrible by any means. Just kind of ok & quite nice. The redemption for me was definitely the tofu & sweet potato, if I'd just had that it would of been a 4-5 star review. So I think for me it depends on...

Really disappointed with Nii Haw today. We ordered at 19:56 and its now 21:43 and they have not delivered our food! We order from them a lot and they usually take long but this is outrageous! I called at 20:59 and the man on the phone said our food is on its way and should be with us in a few minutes but here we're are almost an hour later and still nothing.

It's a shame because the food is very tasty and fresh but the delivery let's everything down. I'm weary to order from them again!!!!

Update 22:20: still no food at 22:20 and I got an email stating my food was delivered at the same time that the Shop app notified me that my food was shipped. This is even more frustrating as when I called at 9 they told me it would be a few minutes! So either they lied or the delivery driver decided to stop for a break instead of deliver food. We won't be ordering from Nii Haw again!
