Great little cafe but they don't have a "customer is always right" attitude and need to invest in some tech to help out their waitress taking orders and having to add everything up on a calculator.
They don't have a sign up saying the serve breakfasts until x, so I went to order a breakfast. "Ah. Sorry we've stopped serving breakfasts". Hmm I thought, so looking at the menu for alternatives, they do all of the components of a cooked breakfast which are all fairly widespread throughout their menu, so I asked what item in the breakfast they had difficulty providing, thinking it might be the mushroom or tomato, which I was less keen on. Anyway, the waitress really didn't know the answer why, and had to consult. It seems they don't have an answer to the question, but refer to the idea you can build your own breakfast at £2.50 an item...so that's what I order. It arrives, minus the bacon which apparently they've not written down so I have to pay extra for it and it's been cooked in a hurry.
All the while this is going on, what appears to be the lady in charge is telling the waitress (serving other customers) how to she should write things down and add it up on the calculator, in a manner that feels like she's frustrated with the staff member. Why they don't invest in a point of sale system, with all the options listed to make it easy for the staff member to get the hang of I don't know... Really feels like the lady in charge doesnt embrace change.
Anyway, pretty mediocre outfit, in a prime location, I'd have expected slightly better and more polished...

Propretor did not take my name address etc just blamed The Council for Lack Of Care/Maintainence.She did not charge myself for Coffee/Cake.But i felt a Huge Lack of genuine concern.
How i did not sustain much bigger injury is amazing.I somehow just managed to twist my body away from the glass .wood etc.But 3 weeks on -i am still v v sore and rattered.Such a shame as i was meeting a dear friend who along with full Cafe of People and Dogs watched in horror as i tripped over the hazard.Which i have seen has not been...
Read moreStopped at Quay 22 for Brunch on a lovely sunny cold day. Good choice on menu, we ordered cappuccino and Americano both which were nice and hot in nice China cup and saucer ( prefer these to mugs 👍 ) Then ordered 2 x Hulumi and chilli panini's which came with nice kettle crisps and a good mixed salad. Bill came to £21 which was a little on expensive side but everything was served nice and hot and good quality produce. Cafe was dog friendly 🐾🐾🐾 service was very good and cafe was quite busy for a Monday morning, plenty of seating undercover outside, we chose an inside table, inside quite small only 5 or 6 tables but tables are big , could probably do with smaller tables as 1 person was sitting on a table for 8 and we were sitting on a table for 4. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu....
