I visited this restaurant with high hopes as i absolutely love Thai food. However, the buffet had a good number of dishes but lacked the Thai touch. Who serves onion rings and chips in a Thai Buffet? The famous raw papaya salad was changed with cucumber salad. The chicken soup and Thai red curry were the only 2 dishes that tasted authentic. The dessert section was alright, no regional Thai desserts except for sago pudding and banana in caramel. Pad Thai had no vegetables at all, just rice noodles in some sauce. The charges are different for weekdays, weekends and bank holidays. Being a bank holiday they charged £18.9 plus additional £1 for serving charge so that total bill for one person came up to £19.9 Another thing to keep in mind is they offer you seating only for 1.5 hours, so you need to make sure you finish your meal at that specific time. With buffets, I feel you need a good time so that you can relax and get an opportunity to taste more variety of food. I have had better buffets in around the same or lesser price with better taste so I would rate this restaurant a 3/5. The ambience is good, the staff are welcoming, all they need to improve is taste and variety. I have lived in Thailand for quite some time, hence coming to this conclusion. I understand we can't compare or demand the food to be exactly the way it is there, but at least try reaching closer.

I visited here before going to the cinema on a busy Friday night. Would definitely go again 👍 Upon arrival I had to wait in a queue for 5 minutes as the restaurant itself was at full capacity. In a group of more than 4 I could imagine it being a long wait to get seated during busy times. The food itself as great, so many tasty dishes and competitive pricing at 18.95 per person. Each table has a 90 minute period upon arrival for their meal which is an ample amount of time to experience many different dishes without rushing. The service wasn't the best, but this is to be expected at such a busy establishment and when the serving team are predominantly cleaning and clearing table to ensure turnaround is as quick as possible so that customers can be welcomed and seated promptly upon arrival. The buffet itself consisted of many options: salads, prawn crackers, soups, chips, rices, noodles, curries, and sweets. I had a great time trying many different dishes. Considering how busy it was all the chefs and waiting staff did a great job. Hope they can keep on smiling and provide even better service next time I'm back. Thanks for the great food, it was much appreciated ❤️

Thaikhum Street at Trafford Centre is an all you can eat Thai buffet that is very good but overly expensive. Missing many starter options (only really chicken wings or salad) and no Thai Green/Red curry options for meat eaters (only a tofu green curry available) the choice of mains were a little lacking. The Thai soups however are a different story. The Thai chicken curry soup was absolutely delicious (to the point that I had three bowls), with crispy noodles, spring onions & chilli flakes sprinkled on top, this was a damn fine soup. The Pork Soup was also a hit with my wife, and with a mushroom option too, there are some good choices. The desert selection was also extremely good, with fruit, donuts, muffins, pancakes, popcorn & ice cream included and, most importantly, a chocolate fountain with marshmallows which my wife and son adored. While the food is very good, the service was attentive and pleasant and it was a good experience, the lack of true Thai dishes was a little disappointing. Add to that an over a bill of over £57 for the three of us (one was a child price), you might have expected a little bit more value for money.

🤢 I think the face says it all to be honest. Where to start this review. £20.90 per person. Plates were dirty with finger prints on them and smears of water. Glass was dirty. I watched the chefs in the back cooking the foods to put in the big serving bowls, now wouldn't you think they empty the older food out before adding the new foods? Well they didn't, they just added it to the older foods. The choice of foods was weird. Fresh salad, but nothing to really serve with the salad. Other than a Cucumber salad, or some spict ginded up chicken, which in my opinion was the weirdest tasting minced/crumbled chicken. They had onion ring, chips, chicken wings. Chicken wings were hard, dry and luke warm at best. The white noodles in a bowl near the starters, I mean are they meant to have have taste, because they didn't Now for the main courses jasmine rice was standard. But all the noodles just did not look appetising at all. Same veg in every pot. Green Thai curry was watery, no meat in it, it was vegetarian. Which I don't mind but off a meat version too. The chicken and veg dish they had, if that was chicken, it tasted like those charging from bird's-eye, you know the ones with all air in them. They wasn't terrible but come on I want proper food. Not processed crap. Next I tried the seafood mix, prawns and squid by the looks of it. The prawn tasted like rubber with the tails still.on the end. And the squid well the could have bounced of the floor, if thrown. Now the soup, I tried the chicken soup only with the prawn crackers. The soup it's self tasted alright and it was hot, but what was with the chicken brains in the bottom of it, seriously the chicken bits look horrendous, I had to scoop them out. Husband went to get some Deserts, but what is so Thai about half dipped chocolate donuts, you know the ones you get from tesco, chopped up fresh fruit, and banana dipped in something coloured in orange but tasted like more banana. To top it off, I had literally picked at the food, and I felt so full, not having really eaten much at all, but that will be the overload of MSG. Never again, not for me and anyone looking for actual food go elsewhere and save your money. Oh and to top it off the staff...

My daughter, grandchildren and I have eaten here many times in the last year. The staff have always been very kind and friendly. This time was so different. It was surreal. The wait to be seated sign was pushed to the side so we went in to far. The manageress started shouting at us and pushed the sign in my face shouting "you wait, you wait". When she led us to a table we explained we could not get the high chairs in. Could we have a different table. She scowled and started shouting again saying "what table you want" and waving her arms around the restaurant. We decided to leave but she put the high chairs at another table. We sat down and she pushed the buggy into the chairs which fell over bruising my daughter. She did not even look up or apologise. The food was really bad in comparison to previous visits. Other customers at the buffet were also complaining about the service and aggression of the staff. Nobody came to take a drink order. I took some cutlery from the table beside us as ours was missing. A waitress came and started shouting at me. I explained and she brought a container of cutlery and literally bounced it off the table. We paid the bill at that point and left. I asked to speak to someone in charge. The manageress came and again started shouting before I could even get a word in. We stood and listened to a tirade for a few minutes and just left. I have never before been to a restaurant where I have had such rudeness and open aggression. It was appalling. I did not recognise the staff so I assume it must have changed hands. We often went there once a week but we certainly will not...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Thai Dining Experience

Thai Buffet at the Trafford Centre is a true hidden gem that effortlessly combines authentic Thai flavours with heartfelt hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends — a rare and beautiful touch in today’s fast-paced dining world.

The buffet itself is a vibrant celebration of Thai cuisine: from rich and aromatic curries to delicate stir-fries, fresh sushi, and perfectly spiced soups. Every dish bursts with flavour and is clearly crafted with care. It’s a place where quality isn’t sacrificed for quantity — and that's a rare find in a buffet setting.

What truly made our experience exceptional, however, was the impeccable service. Yanisa was simply outstanding — poised, personable, and wonderfully attentive. She struck the perfect balance of being professional yet genuinely warm, making sure everything was just right throughout the evening. It’s rare to meet someone who clearly takes such pride in both her work and the customer’s experience.

And then there was Apple — a gentle, warm-hearted waitress whose kindness left a lasting impression. She moved with quiet grace, always ready with a smile, and radiated a calm, welcoming energy that made us feel completely at ease.

Together, Yanisa and Apple elevated our visit from just a good meal to a truly memorable occasion. Their attentiveness, charm, and sincere care set this place apart.

If you're looking for incredible food paired with world-class service, Thai Buffet at the Trafford Centre is not just recommended — it’s essential. We'll be...
