If I was in a 2005 episode of Come Dine with Me, maybe the unseasoned, large white square plate, spaced out food would be passable… HOWEVER, if I’m spending £11.50 for avocado on toast, I would expect the avocado to be ripe and not spend five minutes attempting to slice/ mash it on my plate. The feta is strangely sliced from a whole cheese round and not crumbled (I am self-aware that this sounds pretentious but if I’m paying higher prices, I want to be impressed). Credit where it’s due, the poached eggs were cooked perfectly, although I’d of enjoyed them more had they been warm due to the delay of compiling my own plate. The large tomatoes are also a strange food choice. My partner ordered ‘American’ pancakes, which were flat and minuscule, therefore unfulfilling. The flat whites we ordered were passable. I felt bad for the waiter for being so visibly disappointed with our food when he seemed lovely enough. We might have mentioned it to them but the atmosphere was very tense and the owner was staring at us. We definitely won’t be headed back there. There are far better options on...
Read morePopped in here while on a day trip to Tonbridge Wells. It was a gloriously sunny Sunday morning and while they didn’t have any seats outside, we were quickly seated inside. The menu has lots of your standard breakfast and brunch items on. I went for the veggie breakfast, my other half had the Turkish breakfast and we also got a full English and a kids fish finger meal for our boys. Service was a little slow and food was fine. We thought the Turkish breakfast was a little odd as it has lots of different things - honey, nuts, eggs, feta, sausage, cucumber, tomatoes - a little like 3 tiny meals on one plate. I also found it a little strange that with the veggie breakfast you get jam with your toast - it’s like adding a little breakfast pudding! My boys were a fan however.
Overall, it was a bustling little place with friendly service and food was fine.

Read moreMy absolute go to anytime I want amazing food at good value for money! A lovely little place, charming decor (especially love the punny frames dotted around) and always really welcoming and clean. Never a long wait- whilst usually busy, the turnover is quite quick and I've never waited more than 5-10 minutes maximum, but it's well worth the wait. The menu is pretty vast and has something for everyone, including vegetarian, vegan and GF options. Great range of drinks as well, the coffee and freshly squeezed juice is delicious! The food itself is great- great portion sizes for the price, lots of extras you can add on and always well cooked and satisfying. The team are super friendly and welcoming, on the ball and make the experience overall more pleasant than it already is. Definitely my favourite place to go for some good food and have brought many friends and family along who agree. Recommend for sure! Oh, and their hot chocolate is...
