Niihaw — Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells

Niihaw is a great spot for a quick, reasonably priced bite to eat. It works more as a 'fast food' kind of place than a nice sit-down restaurant.

I usually go for the teriyaki chicken with rice, which is simple, tasty and filling. The sides like gyozas are great too. On my most recent visit I had some salmon sushi (nigiri and avocado rolls) which were nice but nothing special, very average sushi. The strawberry bubble tea was lovely.

The staff are fairly quiet and are often rushing around (to complete delivery orders it seems) but they're quick and friendly enough.

It's far from the best spot in town, but it has its place and after three visits so far, I'd happily go...

Nice quiet Japanese eatery in the convenient located centre of town centre... Reasonably priced place to grab a quick bite to eat when on the move, you can either grab menu items from the fridge (which is obviously quicker) or if they don't have the dish you want on display they can make it for you which requires a short wait (along with hot dishes as well)... Varied items on the menu ranging from sushi/sashimi/tempura/dim sum/rice & noodle bowls... Friendly & attentive staff and overall a nice place to visit......

Niihaw is a fantastic place available for a quick but healthy and satisfying bite. There’s a great range of sushi (in comparison to other places in the area) and it’s genuinely not a bad quality.

There’s a 10% TN card discount so that’s always great - they have a few tables for seating - relatively simple decor.

They also have bubble tea on offer if interested but this is not something we have tried yet.
