I don't really like putting negeative reviews, especially for independent businesses but have to be honest too. is a good, traditional English Cafe with traditional breakfast with basic coffee, tea etc. It is clean and nice.. BUT... they should really tell a customer that it is only cash or put on the door or tables clearly that cards are not accepted. I ordered my drink and breakfast, and don't know if I had gut feeling or not but I asked the lady "you accept card payment don't you" she said "unfortunately just cash" - in this day and age, card payment should be included and especially with a pandemic and bacteria etc.
I packed up and was about leave to go and get cash.. the most amazing thing happened.. a lady who was sat next to me with her sons and said to me as they were leaving "we have paid for your breakfast, it is on us". That was just very unexpected and a lovely gesture , I couldn't thank her probably. If she reads this: thank you for paying, it made me smile and it was very apprechiated.. I hope this gesture and deed brings you lots of success and...
Read moreOne of the worst breakfast I've had. I would call myself a a pretty good judge on the English breakfast, I have eaten in some of the best cafes in London, lots of iconic ones. The English breakfast isn't a difficult thing to do but it's very easy to mess it up. The only positive thing about this breakfast was it was hot, the sausages, black pudding, bacon were all deep fried, the bubble was as flat as a pancake and tasted like rubber, I presume the bubblle pancake is frozen that's why it's so flat because it would be easy and quick to defrost, it was very poor. As for the eggs i will leave no comment. To add insult to injury the tea was served with uht capsules, I had toast with this breakfast which came to a whopping £9.50. In London for that you will pay a max of £6 including tea and toast. If you going to charge that sort of money make sure it's good. I wouldn't go back even if...
Read moreI didn't expect much, considering this was a small town cafe selling British food. That either goes really well (but expensive) or really bad. Paradise cafe was cheap and amazing. Not only did the food come out fast but it was hot. They have mayo, ketchup and brown sauce free to use. I had vegetarian food and that was amazing. The atmosphere was very wholesome, as it was filled with families, friends and couples on dates. The milkshakes were £3.50 or £4! Any milkshake lover knows that is outrageously good. The waiters were so patient and caring, constantly asking if we needed or wanted anything and checking up on us. The toilet was also good, very clean. What made this place the best were the workers, they were...
