We called tonight at the burger King trinity walk with my grandchild. Placed our order and paid for it, then to be told while we was waiting for our order to be made that we couldn't sit in. It was only 7.10 and the place said it was open till 8 pm. I understand them closing certain areas off to the public, but not allowing us to sit in was a joke. There was no notices up stating that we couldn't sit in from 7 pm. The manager there wasn't very helpful and stated that it was there ruling and then the girl behind the counter said they were short staffed. I work in catering and there is no way we would treat our customers like this. 2 families came in after us and walked out when I explained to them that we weren't allowed to sit in. One family had come from Rotherham to Wakefield with a disabled lady in a wheelchair. As you can imagine. Went away very disappointed. Wakefield is struggling as it is to get people to visit and I'm sure they won't be calling back any time soon. We ended up taking our food outside, sat at a table and then the manager came out and started to dismantle the furniture. Quite intimidating really, so we got up and brought our food home. Yes.
