We were here a total of 2 and a half hours. To which only one person ate ( who’d only ordered sides). The chicken was raw. The steak and duck came over cooked which they offered to re do in 6minutes…. Que 15/20mins later we’d then seen the raw chicken and said no Thankyou. However the steak which came back and was going to be attempted to eat was dry on the outside and rare… but rare to the tuneof blue/not cooked? It just didn’t look right. Maybe it would be for some but anyway after the raw chicken no one wanted to eat and was put off. Make your own judgement on the photos. The bill was brought over for £156… which we declined and said we would pay for our drinks… this came to £99.40 for 4 of us - 1 drink per hour ish Now if this was me I’d have taken the last round of drinks off as we would have liked to have had food and gone by this point. Alas it took a long time for a correct bill to come. We then waited 20mins for the card machine before getting up to go to the counter and pay. In total we were here from 7:10 while 9:30pm. Just like to say the atmosphere wasn’t good due to everyone else waiting so long and I imagine also sending back their food. No one looked pleased. I feel sorry for the waitress that was super polite and was struggling with all the issues and became upset. I can imagine the kitchen staff may have been rude to her as I could see them kicking off from my table. - She isn’t the one serving raw chicken to someone with celiac disease though. . . Anyway…. We won’t be coming again a very expensive night for someone to be sick as well as no food and a very long wait. I’d attended here once before for somebodies birthday and their chicken was raw too. Rest of the food was fine but it was much quieter. I’d recommend taking chicken off of the menu until the chefs have figured out that they can actually kill people by serving it.

Good night of food and drink at the Ego! Overall we had a really nice evening. The food was incredible and the atmosphere of the main restaurant is perfect for a birthday meal; Reasons why it didn't quite get 5 stars from me: - service was good but not great, all evening there was a kind of tension between us and out waitress, hard to describe the reasons but there was something there. - the birthday offer is for buy one get one free but it's the cheapest meal. If only two people dined then this would be the second most expensive meal free (by default) however with 5 people it was the cheapest of the 5. In my opinion it should be the second most expensive as if we split the table into a 2 and a 3 then it would be that way - the toilets are disgusting, they really need to update them to be at the same standard as the rest of the restaurant. I just hope the kitchen matches the restaurant and not the toilets in the standards

Booked a table on a Saturday afternoon. All ways been very happy here in the past both with food and service. (The previous guys that had it running like clock work have either left or not on shift). Anyway, the food was lovely, but the service (by the manageress) left a lot to be desired. Ordered drinks at the bar (great selection)and we were shown to our table, but after around twenty minutes, I had to find the manageress to take our food order. She was joking around with a guy at the bar. (Could understand if busy but it was very quiet.) There was a table that hadn't been cleared the whole time we were there. The younger members of staff were great! When the bill came she'd overcharged for a glass of wine. It was rectified straight away. On this occasion the professionalism that we've been used to, in the past, just wasn't there. Rather dissapointing. Hopefully it was a one off.

I visited ego @ bulls head this evening with my husband and 3 year old son. On arrival was greeted by 2 lovely ladies who made us feel right at home, show us to our table with a kids entertainment pack, great stuff! 👍 all service was quick and efficient, my son loved making his own pizza but was given no cheese for it. Lady did offer some but after it was cooked. The food was really really poor hence the low stars. Soup of the day way too salty so inedible, luckily lady was lovely about it and took it off our bill. We both ordered medium steak and both was either rare and some parts blue, chefs need a little more training to get steak to medium. We didn't complain about this as we felt bad as we are not usually one's to make a fuss. But then came dessert we both ordered mini dessert and hot drink which was £7.95. The dessert which was literally a mouthful if that! I did ask if I could get a bit more as my 3 year old sons dessert which was £3 was 5x the size and came with Ice cream, and was told that they have changed supplier so that's all they can give. So it is all manufactured and not made in resteraunt which was a tad disappointing. Overall very average/ poor meal and will not be returning to eat.

I'd just like to say tho the service was fab lady could not do enough for us and gave us £10 offourbill, food definitely needs vast...

went here on Sunday for my sons birthday, 5 adults 1 baby and a3yr old. very welcoming, starters for two adults and 1 child's meal arrived, we then waited over an hour for our meal, we were seated in a position that all staff could see us.large table served before us, all staff serving that table, manager recognised we had been waiting and offered discount. also offered bread and olives while we waited but it took so long for this to come out of kitchen that our main meals arrived at same time so we didn't eat the bread and olives. we were then offered the sweet menu and ordered from this, again the large table was served by all staff and we were ignored, a table for two, who arrived long after we sat down were given their dessert before us, two tables opposite had had their meals and left before we had our mains....we then told them that if we wasn't served immediately then we would walk out. still waiting...no desserts so we went to till to pay and had to wait to do that........we were there 3 and a half hours and only got 2 starters and our mains, which was bland and dry...will never go again.......definitely never recommend.......having spent hours waiting and trying to entertain 2 toddlers....VERY...
