McDonald's — Restaurant in Wakefield

Very hit and miss service!! More to the fact that’ some staff can’t be bothered… example: went on the 10th aug in the afternoon just for a frappe to be told they don’t do it ANYMORE. What’s more annoying when I’m speaking to one of the clients about an hour or so later and they say they never had issue and showed me their order history dating back to the beginning of the week till the 10th and showed that they got their frappes from the same branch and no issues. They had their order history on hand on the app. Go This morning they say they don’t frappes till after 11am it’s the evenin menue. (On other areas never had an issue with it being before 11am and never here either - this was new) Fact This place is always hit and miss. For past few years(4-5 years)…. As someone working shifts If I went there during the night and if they can’t be bothered they will tell you the machines are being cleaned despite all of them set to self clean at a set time… if it’s not that it’s coned off during the midnight to early hours …. Don’t get me wrong I know if things have gone down then that’s understandable but for it to be coned off regularly on every so many nights you’d think they get their stuff sorted. But you know the staff that work to those that cba… tossing it off in the back. Some very helpful, uuber polite and friendly…rest like last night at 10pm/11pm quickly make speedy exit out of the Place and is chilling with friends in the car park ….

I see them laughing and joking and messing around in the back (which isn’t the issue as you have to laugh) but when it’s a case of cba to work and mess about then clearly someone doesn’t want to work. I know it’s a nightmare there because it’s abs busy that McDonald and maybe it’s down to poor management of products etc. there is no consistency in that place when it comes to when it’s open or not and foods there or not….I’ve seen busier McDonald’s and they have never disappoint. Have to say for Ponty this one is shockin and disappointing. Same goes for castleford Took kids after cinema last year and kids being kids wanted pie… the guy in came out sayin that they haven’t any but can put one to cook but it will take 5/10 mins. Told him no issues waitin there was no rush instead he was trying his best to convince otherwise to not order because it will take 5/10 mins. Asked the kids if they wanted something else but not wanting to ruin their special day I stated again there no issues waiting. Very clear he just didn’t want to have to make the food. Cas and Ponty needs an overhaul and new staff

Better of with kfc or...

Every time you come here to the drive through they miss stuff off your order. How difficult is it when you order 2 burger meals that they actually put 2 burgers in. Every single time it’s wrong, it’s beyond a joke. You pay extortionate amounts for food that they never give you. So you get home, realise they’ve missed something so you either put up and shut up by just eating the half filled fries they’ve gave you or you abandon your meal, go back the the restaurant with the non existent receipt they give you, argue about the missing burger and then return home to mummified chips because they were already at -3 degrees when they came through the hatch. I cannot begin to explain how angry this place makes me feel and despite promises of never returning, the allure of the Golden Arches proves too much and you pull in for more disappointment, it’s like the ultimate business plan, sell food to a generation of fast food addicts but don’t put the food in the bag. And because this generation also has to deal with a massive case of social anxiety, most people won’t head back to complain and get the burger. It’s literally a licence to print money. Oh and it was warm and sunny again today so the McFlurry machine was “broken.” I...

Very hit or miss for food.

I always order food from here through the self service kiosk. With my usual order, I take a couple of things off my burger. Everytime I order, its a 50% chance they listen to this or not. Almost every other time I go here, they forget to listen to my request, and normally leave the item I wanted removed on the burger.

While McDonalds food isn't that great quality, the fries from this one are okay at best. Normally very soggy and flimsy. They don't taste bad, but the texture is lacking a lot.

When it comes to ordering online for delivery, it seems a lot more consistent. The only issue with delivery is they don't seem to listen to the sauces you request. For example, a 20 nugget box comes with 4 sauces - and most of the time I end up with none of them being delivered.

No issues with the employees. From the limited interactions I've had with them, I've had no issues and they've served me with a smile.

Overall, it's okay. If you're looking for some quick, cheap fast food and you're not too picky with what toppings you have, its probably worth popping in. Delivery is good too, so don't be afraid to...
