1176 Aberteifi — Restaurant in Wales

Had a Sunday dinner, booked in for 2.30 allowing plenty of time to eat and get to cinema by 4pm......now I'm a vegetarian so ordered nutroast...daughter had beef. 3.15 2 plates of beef where brought to table where I had to send mine back ...3.30 had my dinner ..cancelled dessert no time for that...the carrots and greens where so hard they would have bounced off the floor....if I had time I should have complained on the day, dident want to fuss as was treated to the meal..I did e.mail the restaurant..but very disappointed I did not get a answere..my family's house was the the only house miss Woods from the castle would visit ..knew her well... I'm local and disappointed terrable ..the least they could do was get back to me...if a meal is not good enough.tell them..After all...

Had lunch there today , the food was very nice , but sadly half of the ingredients were missing - the hot beetroot was missing, when I mentioned this the young lady brought me some cold sliced beetroot . There were no carrots, onion , rocket or pomegranate seeds in my salad , this was a shame because what I had was really nice but it would have been extra nice to have enjoyed all the different flavours as listed on the menu . My sister asked if she could have the creamed mushrooms but without the garlic , she was told this wasn’t possible, so she said she would have the field mushrooms with some toast , the waitress then came back and said the kitchen said they could mix some cream with them , which she had...

I absolutely love this place. We went to Cardigan castle and stopped by during lunch time last week. They had a special of Beef bourguignon with fries and dressed salad when I came in. It was superb! Honestly, some of the best beef I have had in my life. I almost cried it was so delicious and I wish I were just being dramatic but the dish really hit in the spot. My husband has a beef sandwich with red peppers and emmental cheese. The picked slaw he had on the side was incredible. All in all we were full and happy when we left. The staff are very nice and the view of the river is beautiful. You gotta try this place! I HIGHLY recommend it if...
