When me and the lads arrived at Pontyclun we didn't know what to expect. We embarked on a pilgrimage, of a meed worthy enough to quench our very dry thirsts. When all seemed lost we came across a diamond in the rough, the Palace of Pontyclun, The Brunel Arms. We spent little coin on a nice, refreshing pint of Strongbow dark fruits. We spent little time chugging the meed down our mighty throats. When the pint was finished I immediately raced to the bar for another. The lads and I had a lovely time, sharing stories with the locals, enjoying in a nice, simple, cigarette and partaking in a game of snooker. Read moremyself and my partner visited the Brunel Arms yesterday for the first time since moving to Pontyclun last November and we were back again today (I can see this becoming a habit!) the location is great, especially being next to the train station and the service is fantastic with all members of staff being friendly and attentive 🥹 the kitchen is back open and the food is banging! they have a good selection of drinks both on tap and in bottles and the music selection is spot on! they host an open mic/jam night every Thursday, a quiz night every Wednesday and a comedy night on the last Friday of each month so whoever you are, whatever floats your boat - there is something here to suit...
