Nice little restaurant for an impromptu meal out on my own. Restaurant empty which surprised me for a Friday night. Staff were a little curt but not unfriendly. Took my order promptly. No issues with the modifications I asked for. Food came out quickly and the portion was generous. The buryani was a little underspiced but it was still very nice with lots of chicken breast. The keema naan had no kick but again the flavour was good so more an observation than a complaint. Cost was about 1/3 more than a takeaway but it was a pleasant meal. I think that sums up my experience here nicely. It wasn't amazing, but not bad either. It was pleasant.

Ricky & his team will bend over backwards to ensure you have a lovely time at Palm Tree, not only is it reasonably priced, the food is mouthwatering, plus you can bring your own alcohol preference to those establishment.

Whatever you do, do not order from this place (goes by “Rice n Shine” on Uber Eats). Unless you’re into culinary roulette and customer service delivered by stand-up comedians.

I used to go to this restaurant regularly. After tonight, I’m questioning every life decision that led me to that point.

We ordered three vegetarian dishes: • A soy-based main (received… lamb chops) • Garlic naan (came as plain naan — garlic must’ve called in sick) • Eggplant masala (which, I kid you not, was boiled eggs in masala sauce)

Thinking this was some innocent mistake, we rang them up. The guy answered like we’d just interrupted his nap and politely asked us to “call back in five minutes” — as if we were chasing a mate for a pint, not calling about eggs where aubergine should be.

We did call back. Enter “the boss,” who confidently claimed the menu wasn’t his, blamed Uber Eats entirely, and then genuinely asked, “How else am I supposed to make the dishes?”

No apology. No solution. Just vibes.

Easily the most surreal takeaway experience of my life. It felt less like dinner and more like a hidden camera show.

Safe to say I won’t be back to the restaurant - unless the boss is...

The Palm Tree used to be a decent establishment. However of late, the standard of service has dropped dramatically.

I find the staff lack basic customer service skills. On our last collection visit they had forgot to include my side order. I called when I realised only to be told that I didn't order it!!!! Well, the side order was part of a set meal that I purchased (naan bread) so a good effort with that excuse.

When I advised that the side order should of come with the set meal he then went on to say it wasn't his problem.......

This is just one of many problems I've had with this resuraunt lately which include rude staff, cold food and deliveries taking an hour later than...
