Excited to try the new chopsticks in Wrexham as I'd only ever had a good meal from the one in Cardiff, I was dead wrong. The food arrived and it wasn't up to any kind of decent standard, missing items, overcooked noodles and a pittance for portions of chicken. My partner rang to raise the issue, and the manager (Ben) was something different entirely. At first claimed that it was neither chopsticks' fault nor their problem to begin with, then tried to excuse the mistake and said that there were no drivers available whilst also expecting us to pay for another order. Finally, it escalated to a comment along the lines of, "if you want it come and get it yourself", which wasn't an option hence a delivery option selected. After that debate, they caved and said they'd deliver it, and when questioned about it and confronted about how inappropriate it felt that they expected what they did from us, I was told simply that it was company policy. The subsequent food looked just as inedible as the first wrong order, and went straight in the bin. Thank you Ben for driving in the rain, we won't be ordering from here...
Read moreAbsolutely shockingly bad…. Please take my advice, do not go here. They missed the BBQ chicken meal off (which Was for the kids) and a portion of salt and pepper chicken, Me and my wife ordered the MVB deal which is 2 toppings and noodles/egg fried rice, it comes in a large black oval tub with a separate compartment inside which has space for 2 accompaniments, however, there was one side not even used, my wife had bbq and caramel toppings and I chose to go for the same… I had 4 pieces of chicken in mine with no caramel chicken and she had 6 pieces… none of them had any sauce or very little to the point where the noodles were bone dry, my portion of Katsu curry wasn’t mixed properly and had HUGE clumps of powder in it….
Honestly, it was the worst takeaway we’ve had, there’s a lot of improvement needed and I seriously doubt that without shutting down and retraining the staff it won’t get any better… it’s a chain store and the food and service needs to be the same across the board and we certainly shouldn’t be paying £28 for 10 bits of chicken and...
Read moreJust tried Chopstix in Wrexham and I was appalled at the hygiene, also the dried up claggy noodles with tongs stuck full of old gammy noodles. Asked if they were going to serve them as they looked hours old. They then brought some fresh out and the kid serving went to put the dirty tongs in the fresh noodles. Had to tell him to stop and clean them?! Then one of the toppings wasn’t ready so had to wait with the food half served going cold. Then opened a box to see the portions and they were tiny and I asked for a manager and refused to pay for a measly amount as the next customer got twice what I was given so I queried this and was told it depends but she ordered literally the same size box to me but got a reasonable portion in hers. Then to pay they use an iPhone with one of those small contactless readers getting the signal off the iPhone? No proper till? The food was tasteless bland and soggy textured. Never going back, save your money I’ve had a tastier...
