An interesting shop, the store was in a converted church which was interesting. The first thing which hit me was the smell of incense which was wondrous.
Then the look of the church. The area at the rear of the store where the holy altar was one in place was a stock store which though I understand a store space is needed in a busy shop, I would have thought some more respect would have been taken In its use.
I was wandering round looking for some mala beads of a full 108 count for a friend, which I couldnt find, the small mala bracelets I did find didn't fit and seemed cheap. I did purchase some wind horse prayer flags for this friend though.
As a buddhist this store struck a bad chord inside me, a store profiting off the good sides of buddhism is fair and I encourage, but then selling shark teeth? It seems an odd juxtaposition which I condemn.
The store may be for some, or many I'd feel but for me the disrespect at the former place of the holy altar. Read moreThis is a truly awesome place to visit when in beautiful Barmouth. An amazing unique experience of authentic ethnic shopping. There are stunning crafts, clothing, jewellery and arifacts made by local people from all around the globe.
The cafe experience is delightful with excellent food, cakes, refreshments & specialist teas.
The staff are so friendly & accomodating. They are very knowledgeable, good interesting/intelligent & humorous conversation.
A relaxing, spiturial, environment. So great, we stop by each time we return to wonderful Wales.
