A SIMPLE APOLOGY IS ALL THAT WAS NEEDED AND RECOGNISE THAT ON THIS OCCATION YOUR PIZZA'S FELL FARE BELOW AVERAGE BUT THIS OWNER REFUSES TO CARRY RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS OWN BUSINESS, I AM LEFT SPEACHLESS.

I HAVE DELETED ONE STAR FOR YOUR REPLY, YOU REALLY NEED TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF ANY ISSUES OR LACK OF CUSTOMER CARE AT YOUR RESAURANT, THE BLAME FALLS FIRMLY UPON THE MANAGEMENT OF THE ESTABLISHMENT, YOUR BLAMING OF THE CUSTOMER FOR NOT QUING UP FOR A SECOND TIME & THE POOR STAFF WHO CLEARLY LACK GOOD LEADERSHIP, YOU HAD AN OPERTUNITY TO APPOLGISE BUT INSTEAD YOU CHOSE TO ASSIGNED BLAME, GREAT MANAGEMNET STYLE.

I really do not understand why they are so busy, granted the Service was good the place was clean and pleasant, we ordered and waited a reasonable 25 mins for our Pizzas, what struck me was the distinct lack of cheese, around 40% of the Pizza was plain bread and it seemed that the Pizza was covered in rocket to disguise the lack of toppings along with the fact that the large portions of un-topped Pizza was burnt due to the lack of any sort of topping, I was to hungry to wait in the que to complain and I left Hanging Pizza feeling short changed and expecting it to be announced in the news that there was a national cheese shortage, if you are fan of plain slightly burnt Pizza bases or you would like to try Pizza with little or no cheese at all then this is the place to visit.

Collins Dictionary Definition of Pizza: A pizza is a flat, round piece of dough covered with tomatoes, cheese, and other savoury food, and then baked in an oven.

Visited Hanging Pizzeria April 2024.

I'd been excited to try this place as it's been on my list of places to visit for nearly 6 months. The food didn't disappoint !!

The reason for the delay in visiting is the fact that a table could not be pre booked and didn't fancy a 5 hour round trip for no reason. I find it strange for a sit in restaurant with table service that pre bookings cannot be made.

The table system is rather strange on arrival. A large amount of people waiting for takeaway orders outside ordering via an external hatch with people waiting for the tables inside sitting on the tables outside without menus, drinks etc . Again I feel like a good booking / QR ordering system would make this place far more efficient. I personally waited over 40 min for a table and would have spent more by ordering drinks to the outside table if the option was available. I would imagine that this is a little chaos in the summer.

All the above being said and more importantly the food was really good. Excellent vegan options available and a really good selection of drinks.

The atmosphere again was really good and the staff were also excellent. Outside most the tables had heaters and blankets were on each table also.

Also worth a mention of the excellent work they do for charity with raising large amounts of the money for animal charities.

The food and drinks are also excellent value for money. For 2 pizzas, dips and drinks it cost less than £35 !!

I would 100% recommend Hanging Pizzeria . Just be prepared to wait ( but...

A fantastic little gem in the beautiful village of Betws-Y-Coed, which I visit regularly! This place truly deserves recognition, and overall, I’m giving it 5 stars, though I’ve rated the food 4 stars for one specific reason - the additional charge for gluten-free bases.

I completely understand that gluten-free ingredients can be more expensive, and I really appreciate that they offer a gluten-free vegan pizza, which is quite rare to find these days. It’s a huge plus!

That said, this restaurant is clearly thriving, which is wonderful to see for a (presumably) small business. However, I’d love to see a shift in the industry where those of us with celiac disease or gluten intolerance aren’t taxed for a condition we have no control over. This is a well-loved, high-quality establishment that already charges premium prices for great food, so it would be amazing if they could give back to the community by either removing the up charge on gluten-free bases or perhaps even making their own in-house (maize flour or gluten-free flour makes this quite simple!).

This spot is already one of the top pizza places in North Wales & it would be incredible to see it become legendary in the gluten-free community too! So please Hangin Pizzeria, absorb some of this cost & help the community out.

That said, I’ll absolutely be returning (when my budget allows), as the food is excellent. Thanks for the great pizza, I look forward to...

We popped in for a late lunch while staying in Betws-y-Coed for a few days. The restaurant itself was closed due to the pandemic, but there was ample seating outdoors. Service was pretty quick and they have a small selection of alcoholic drinks as well as water and soft drinks. I had a vegan pizza (without the vegan “cheese” as I think vegan cheeses are the spawn of Satan), while my partner had something meaty. The pizza was certainly better than expected, especially considering how dire pizzas in Britain usually are; the bases, in particular, are quite well made with a soft pillowy texture that springs back when you squeeze it, much like you get in Italy. The tomato sauce could have been a little more tangy though, for my tastes, as it tasted a little too much like straight tinned tomatoes. My partner did discover that he had bacon on his pizza instead of the prosciutto it was supposed to have (which he ended up removing as he doesn’t like it), and the roasted vegetables on mine could have done with a touch less oregano too, which was a very dominant flavour. But all in all, a decent meal. The little roasted tomatoes that were on both of our pizzas were particularly nice.

Looking at the other posts here maybe we've been really unlucky because their pizzas look nice but the fact remains we spent 35 quid on 2 burnt pizzas, one soggy and falling apart and 2 cans of rola cola. Just not good enough at all, especially after waiting for so long to order and receive the pizza. The restaurant is a sensory overload with queues, bad music blaring and wasps attacking everywhere along with the tannoy announcing pizza numbers, just not relaxing at all. Opted to take them away in a box and I guess this is where we've been done over as we didn't open to check when collecting, completely burnt, sundried tomatoes turned to charcoal and crusts inedible - not really worth 16 quid?! My friend ordered the ham and mushroom and it was a mess, looked like someone had tipped a bucket load of mushrooms on it, never seen the like and hence ended up sopping and soggy falling apart. Don't bother with the fake coke - £5 for two horrible tins. Really disappointed, especially seeing the other reviews as our pizzas were nothing like the usual it seems. Won't be returning, save your hard earned cash and dine elsewhere.
