Vesuvios, Swansea: Italian Comfort Food Done Right 🇮🇹🍝
A true cornerstone of Italian dining in Swansea, Vesuvios never fails to deliver authentic, flavourful dishes. Their lunchtime offer (12-3 PM, £11.50 for one course or £14.95 for two) is excellent value—and after several visits over the years, they’re still one of our go-to spots. 🏆
Here’s what we enjoyed this time: 🫓 Salted Bread – Light, salty, and perfect for dipping in balsamic vinegar. 🍕 Margherita Pizza – Classic, crispy, and loaded with rich tomato and gooey mozzarella. 🍝 Spaghetti Bolognese – Tasty, hearty, and packed with flavour, though a bit watery. 🧄🧀 Cheesy Garlic Bread – Comforting, garlicky, and melt-in-your-mouth indulgence. 🥩 Beef Lasagna – The highlight of the meal! Creamy, beefy, and layered to perfection.

Read moreWe ordered pane Al Aglio for starters meat feast pizza, carbonara pasta, marinara pasta. The garlic bread was ordered as a starter but arrived after the main meal. There was no taste or flavour to any of the dishes. The lack of sea food in the marinara was very poor and tasted so bland that it wasn’t eaten. Good job there was salt and pepper on the table as that was the only seasoning. The whole experience seemed rushed, we were in and out within an hour as our meals arrived within less than 5 minutes after ordering and considering the venue was very busy, if there was any effort gone into the food it surely would’ve taken a few extra minutes to cook. When asked if we had enjoyed our food, we complained that the marinara was tasteless and we were asked if we would like to take it home. We have had tastier carbonara and marinara dishes in microwave meals. Save your money and...
Read moreHonestly a huge disappointment unfortunately in contrast to the fantastic Sea Food they serve the pasta dishes were a 3/10 don't understand how a Italian Pasta with prawns comes in a bowl full of pasta and so much sauce it literally tasted and looked like a childs amateur made tomato soup... Carbonara my partner ordered was made from cream rather than egg so not sure what happen there and it was absolutelly tastless almost milky and unseasoned and tbh Pizza was so bitter as if we was eating tomato puree directly from a tube. Look %100 recommended for the sea food as that was delicious but any pasta dish or the pepperoni was tasteless full of tomato puree and quite frankly a Italian failed job let just say Godfather would definetly not be eating here. Service was brilliant however everyone polite even with a busy...
