My recent visits to this harvester I have found very disappointing. Let's start with the salad bowls they bring, On the last 2 occasions of visiting, they have been filthy, with greasy finger marks and stuck on grit from previous uses. The salt shakers are all clogged, so you can't get salt out, no matter how hard you try, this again has been an issue on the last 2 visits I've made. Even the tables surrounding ours had the same problem with the salt (sat in different parts of the restaurant on both visits, so I gather it's a building wide issue). Service still remains on the slower side, where I find the staff lack a bit of attentiveness, where you constantly have to pray to catch their eye to place another drink order. On my most recent visit, which has never happened before, we were sat on a dirty table. Usually I wouldn't mind, but when the cleanliness of everything else seems to be going downhill, I feel it's worth pointing out. The food is very hit and miss. Luckily, it is more of a hit than a miss! The bbq sauce you get with the goujans is to die for! The rocky horror sundae is also a must, in my opinion! The salad bar, usually, is well stocked and looking fresh, and that was the case on my most recent visit. However, on my previous, it did look a bit sad and limp. Read moreWe visited the Carmarthen Harvester on 26th August 2025 s we had to visit Carmarthen and it would a bit late for lunch by the tme we got back home. When we sat down there were a number of offers on show, there was a two or three course offer and then on a three sided promotional advert, Chicken Tuesday and mentioned the app. Lucky us, it was a Tuesday! I showed the flyer to the waitress and chose 12 roast chicken and my wife showed the two and three course menu nd selected two courses. We thought nothing more of it until we had gone to pay where the first receipt showed no discount, each item was charged at full price, next I said we had the two course offer and Chicken Tuesday offer. We were then told that we couldn’t have both offers. The waitress said nothing to us when we ordered and also there was nothing on the Chicken Tuesday flyer- guess what it is hidden in the terms and conditions on the app. What I con! I then said we would split the bill, ‘no you won’t they said’ so we had to pay with only one offer taken. I contacted Harvester and exchanged emails with Clare who said that they had investigated it and the waitress said we didn’t order off the flyer and the two course offer menu- this is just lies! Read moreShould have gone with our instincts when we were told there would be a thirty minute wait and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy! Salad bar was a mess. Husband ordered chicken and ribs. The chicken was tiny and cold but he didn’t want to complain so put up with it. My burger was suspiciously pre-cooked and also cold! Sorry but I don’t put up with cold food so asked the waitress to remedy this. Hubby told her his chicken was cold also but just for them to know. Waitress looked at us both and said that that couldn’t be the case as the probe tells them that it’s the right temperature...Okay so I’m telling you my burger is cold! She takes it away and the manager (Martin) comes to me and says that it isn’t possible for the food to be cold as they probed it and it was 63 degrees...Oh and did I still want another one? My husband said his was also cold and they needed to ensure it doesn’t get served like that. He looked at me again and said...Well do you want another one? Am not often speechless but that did the trick! Well what do you think??? Great customer service...not!! They brought another that tasted fresh and guess what?...
