During my recent trip to Cardiff, I had the pleasure of dining at Karibu African Restaurant, and it was a culinary journey like no other. The restaurant boasts an array of delicious, mouthwatering, and tantalizing African dishes that left me craving for more.

I savoured their egusi soup and pounded yam, which were simply divine, and the pepper soup paired perfectly with chilled drinks. The ambience was enhanced by the vibrant African musical interlude, creating an authentic and enjoyable dining experience.

We were visiting in the area and wanted to have a hot Nigerian meal, so we found this place online which had a good rating.

On arriving, it was confusing because according to the maps we got to the exact location but the name and look of the store was totally different. The name was 'Central African... ' something. We were skeptical but we entered the building only to be welcomed with more confusion...

Long story cut short ; the Service was great and the food was prepared in good time (although a bit uncomfortable for my family, we planned to eat in but couldn't and then did a takeout). The food was delicious 😋 and we all enjoyed it Should we visit the area again, we will definitely be ordering again but strictly as a takeout.

The restaurant beats my imagination.

When I was driving down to the restaurant, I wasn't expecting much, I was just looking to eat anything for the time being until I'm back in London. Surprise, Surprise! I went back the second day driving another 45mins from Newport to Cardiff for another experience.

This gentleman chef and the staff should be proud of themselves!.

The food all of them are classic traditional African taste! Real taste from real people!

I was meant to eat and go, but I stayed another 2 hours having a chat with the staff and other customers.
