The experience I witness was dreadful. How may I begin, they treated their customers absolutely terribly... They ordered a pile a drinks to a table who they have already paid... and demanded they must pay and his exact words were, ‘if you know they were your, don’t drink them’ but the young lads said respectfully, that ‘they are our drinks, and we have been drinking them all evening/night’... It must be the manager could not take responsibility of his wronging and blames all his customers/staff which was awful... They said there must only be one person using the bathroom... yet as an elderly person... they were beyond crowded and there wasn’t any sort of social distanting... I bring up the manager once more for his poor attitude and his behaviour was beyond disgraceful, whereas they should of accepted the responsibility of pouring the wrong drink, numerous people were given the wrong drink, and they were told ‘well you got to drink it and we won’t be giving you your correct drink unless you pay again !!!’ ABSOLUTELY disgusting, because of your error... your customers must pay again... where is the customer service there, young man... Truly horrid to see, any other pub would apologise and redo their drink, expressing their apologies. At the four elms... well expect to pay your drinks again.... Truly horrid service... The menu they serve was truly awful... for a pub menu, it was awful... there was hardly nothing to chose from expect from a burger or some steak, hardly nothing available for vegetarians/vegans... The menu was boring to look at... and the food was served almost cold and bland, and never get the Nachos... they were disgusting! There was no way I was going back to complain.. The manager would probably say it’s our fault... He would be crying if Gordon Ramsay said how truly awful their menu and food truly were... and the appearance.
I can continue with all the negativity I experienced with this place... All I can say is I hope the Croft’s will open soon round the corner, they sell affordable alcohol and will not belittle you at any given moment. So until that is open I shall be going to my local Claude...
DO NOT GO HERE, THE MANAGER IS A COMPLETE SCUMBAG AND LITERALLY CANNOT DO HIS DUTIES FOR HIS OWN WORKERS AND HIS...

The inside of the pub has a classic ‘old boy’ feel where you have great viewing access to screens to watch the sport, and towards the rear of the pub, in the old skittle ally, there is plenty of quieter seating for eating and escaping the football if needed.
Great food with modern twists, pub classics and big portions; very good Sunday roast too!
The outdoors area is my favourite and probably one of the best beer gardens Cardiff has to offer! The beer garden has under cover seating with heaters around the edge of the pub, plenty of on grass seating too and occasionally a semi permanent tipi (especially during the sport seasons)
No small children (but call ahead to make sure), dogs welcome (but in the garden only).
Serves real ale and great phone signal.
20 min walk...

Numerous members of staff on duty but our drinks seemed to take what felt like a lifetime (I was the designated driver so had a soft drink) when our drinks finally reached us my diet coke tasted funny when I checked the date on the bottle it was Sept 2020 I thought about complaining but after hearing the way the manager spoke to customers and staff I decided against it. Numerous members of staff trying their best to get drinks and food out to customers but noticed the regulars had special treatment over non regulars also 10p service charge each time the app is used. If I want to tip the staff I would do so at my own judgement do the staff actually get that 10p Or does it go towards the rude managers income. I won't be visiting here again...
