We've not long moved to a caravan in the area. Once we've eaten the breakfast food from here in the pub as this place was too full. They explained to us it was all one business so no problem.
My missus has just walked along the coastline with our 22 month old to have breakfast here again. She ordered some baps and went to change baby in the pub. Anyway, guy in the pub gives her a load of hassle obviously not believing she is in the cafe. He eventually let's her use the facilities and she goes back to the cafe and she explains she's had a bit of grief from the pub. Then some other bloke, (husband of the owner) from the cafe starts giving her a massive go, saying there's a ticket system in place and she'd know that if she'd ever been before. So there she is she's a lone woman with a toddler, and she's been abused first by the guy in the pub, then big time by the other guy in the cafe who knows full well nothing untoward has occurred as she's waiting on baps there. We have a word for men like this who go for women on their own with children - disgusting cowards. The customers next to her said that's no gentleman.
The whole thing is thick as they've had a massive kick-off at someone for not being a customer when they know they are, her food and drinks are on the table waiting for her. And if there's a ticket system in place, she's not gonna know it is she if you've never bothered to give her a ticket. Anyway, having been completely gone for by the husband in the cafe, she decides well I can't sit here, I don't even feel safe so she asks for a refund so she can leave. Then the owner (the wife), starts saying well why should I give you a refund if they were rude to you in the pub? Cos your husband was more unhinged than anyone in the...

The one star rating is purely based on the fact that the dine in area of the venue was closed despite the owner confirming the opening hours on Google the week before.
We were visiting the area with someone with learning difficulties and decided to visit Lola & Suggs after reading the reviews, deciding what to eat from the online menu and checking the opening hours but after making the journey we found it to be closed for food - a big disappointment especially for someone with learning difficulties who cannot understand the need to look elsewhere.
We were not the only left annoyed and disappointed as there were others who had also travelled there to find it closed.
A simple amendment of opening hours on both Google and social media would prevent this from...
Read moreI was disappointed with this cafe. It has the potential to be far better with it's prime location next to the beach. Disappointingly you aren't able to take cones/tubs into the cafe. There are no toilets on site so you have to use the public ones further down the road. We ordered 2 sundaes but the menu is not very helpful as it doesn't tell you what's in some of the desserts. For example what's in a unicorn sundae?! I ordered an oreo sundae which had a small description including 'crushed oreos'. It arrived and it was a bit of a joke. There was a scoop of chocolate icecream and a scoop of vanilla. This was interspersed with 3 whole oreos, some spray cream on top and another oreo. Very poor presentation. I think it was about £4.50 so i essentially paid maybe £2 for a.bit of cream, a few oreos and the loss of a cone? Compared to just...
