Lovelies Delights — Restaurant in Wales

Having eaten at Lovelies Delights a few times, I approached Becky about creating a wedding cake for my sister's wedding in 2023 (sorry for the delay!). Becky couldn't have been more accommodating. The flavour & design options were fantastic - we ended up going with quite a simple 3-tier (chocolate bottom, lemon, blueberry & elderflower middle, and a red velvet top) all covered in a white chocolate ganache and decorated with piped ganache to match the colour theme of the wedding. Kermit & Miss Piggy provided by the couple. It was a very warm day but the cake held up beautifully - which, as a wedding photographer, I can tell you isn't always the case... The newlyweds were super happy with their cake, as was I for many days afterwards 🤌 Would highly recommend, and will be back for a coffee...

Very disappointed coming here today (sat) we had been looking in vain for 40 mins for somewhere to have lunch, when I spotted this little place, so we crossed over and waited in the doorway as requested...and waited and waited, the waitress arrived then asked for both our names and phone nos...OK understood why, she then mumbled that she needed either a driving licence or bank card details of which we had neither, offered to use NHS app, but she proceeds then to say sorry she was unable to serve us...I was absolutely gob smacked, my fella had already turned on his heel and was gone, so instead of having a lovely taste in our mouths...we left with a...

I have been to Lovely Delights afew times now. The staff are pleasant and efficient,the prices are fair but it's the food and coffee that is really great. I usually have Welsh rarebit and an extra shot cappuccino (unless you enjoy your coffee really strong I wouldn't try that) both are excellent. At Christmas my resistance was week and my husband and I bought a snowball cake,they were totally amazing,but sooo rich and chocolatey that it took four days for me to eat. Oh what a struggle but worth every bite....
