I used to love Mamgu and their produce, however my recent interaction has left me rather disappointed and asking “where is their Customer Service”? I purchased a Christmas Box from them on 19 December 24 and paid £5.70 for next day delivery. It took 9 days to deliver and no hint of acceptance from Mamgu for the delivery, I have been offered 20% off my next order but what’s the point if I can’t guarantee receiving it?
Mamgu are quite within their rights to request a refund under the conditions of carriage, however the nonchalant response of “I am sorry we can not fulfill your request and leave you disappointed with our customer service.
I wish you all the very best.
Kind regards,
Luke”
Doesn’t cut it for me! It’s not about the money, it’s about valuing the customer and knowing someone didn’t receive their Christmas gift ———————————————————————— Further to the Mamgu response, I never said they offered Next Day delivery, only I was charged for delivery and the package clearly states “Next Day”. The lack of Customer Service comes from them not pursuing this with the carrier but just rebuffing, not our remit!!
As a former Customer Service Manager, it’s so much more than just eventually receiving the package and it being ok upon arrival. Mamgu, please look again at your customer service policy and I’m still open to a conversation and provided my contact number...
Read moreThis is a really lovely place - great surroundings with a little garden out the back. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and it's dog friendly too (there were not dogs 'everywhere' as suggested by one reviewer...but there were a number of well behaved pooches on leads, which added to the friendly and relaxed atmosphere!). The food was tasty and well served. Sadly, the issue we had was that it took ages to get served (about 20 minutes in the queue at the counter to order...queuing out through the door) and then ages for the food and drinks to arrive. We had children with us who got really fed up and by the time it came we were all thoroughly fed up. The last time we visited, we also waited a long time for our food. It's such a shame because it did ruin the experience for us, but the staff didn't seem to know how to manage the demand of a busy lunchtime. I'm sympathetic to staff having to manage busy times, but other places seem to manage better, so hopefully something like staff training or professional advice can fix this. Then this place...
Read moreI've been coming to Pembrokeshire every summer since childhood, as my family are all from here, but this summer (2021) with Covid affecting holidaymakers has been THE busiest year ever.
My wife and I managed to get away from our 3month old for the first time to have lunch and managed to get a table at MamGu. Despite the incredible busyness, it was just wonderful.
The staff are lovely, and kind. The space and atmosphere are beautiful. But as it should be in any cafe/restaurant, the food was the star. We had the 'dirty wrap' each (veggie for me, lamb for her) and they were simply INCREDIBLE. Every ingredient was fresh. Every mouthful filled with flavour. Even the balsamic glaze on the salad was stunning. I can't over-sell how wonderful this was.
And for afters, 'welsh afternoon tea' of welsh cakes with jam & cream... Just mouth-watering.
The whole time we were there (approx 1.5hrs) the queue never stopped once for people coming in just to get welsh cakes. That should tell you all you need to...
