Genuinely fed up of this Mcdonalds. Everytime I ask for a large I get a medium fries in a a large carton. No matter how many people are in my car the cartons are always half full. Today I checked as I always do and had to send my the chips for replacement. Got home, opened the bag and surprise, the replacements were worse than the ones I sent back. My partner suggested they may have been the same cartons even, just more floppy and hidden inside the bag they provided with the replacement. At the end of the day the only difference between a large and medium meal is the drink and the fries so if there is not a distinguishable difference then why do they always ask me if my meal order is a large?! Don't mean to sound trivial but it's dishonest and feels like they are blatantly ripping me off. There are Mcdonalds everywhere and on the rare occasion I do decide to use a Mcdonalds for a quick bite to eat ill know what to expect with this one.
Update... its been a few months and this venue never improves. Last three or four times I've been here my order has been wrong through the clock and collect. I have to go indoors to get the order corrected which completely defeats the object of collection bays. The attitude when the order is wrong is so casual that its obvious this is a regular occurance for them. Today I was served a wrap that looked like it had been thrown about the kitchen and given mango pieces that were on today's date. They wrote slimey and not nice at all. This particular Mcdonalds started it's first month or so excellently but the inevitable and much like any other Mcdonalds, they drop the ball and start serving sloppy food, wrong orders and food that is basically ready or the bin.
It's 21:50 on the 5th of August, the same date that was on my fruit. So my fruit was gonna be binned in just two hours. Call me petty but I might have let it slide if my wrap didn't look like a sandy desert dap.
Finally but not the least of an issue, smokers outside of the restaurant is repulsive. Even managers have been seen sparking up. I have photographed a manager doing just that. From a non smokers perspective tobacco smoke is completely unwelcome. Somebody also needs to teach the staff that vaping is also to be done out of sight. Businesses see this not only has a hygiene issue but also as a public appearance issue. Neither smoking nor vaping right by the main entrance fills me with the desire to eat or walk through doors. Id rather breathe fresh air personally and I'd also rather not worry that smokey hands are preparing my food. Lots to work on at this Mcdonalds in abergavenny...
Read moreHad a double cheese burger and a coffee.. believe it or not, this was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time.. top marks to the person who cooked it.. 😊 update.. had a very bad experience here, not so long ago I went through the drive through and ordered a big Mac (medium size) they handed me my meal first and then the boiling hot coffee in one of their cups.. on handing it to me the cup collapsed.. spilling the contents all over my hand and down the side of my car 🚗.. and it burned my hand ✋ and stained my car. I made a formal complaint to McDonald's. The staff were laughing at me..! And the complaints department blamed me..! And offered me a free big Mac ..! They didn't care at all it seemed like a big joke to them.. but it wasn't to me. And because I said they had stained my car they sent the case to a cowboy company in Malta..! Who accused me of not having insurance or tax on my car. This just annoyed me even more.. anyone who knows me knows how much I value and look after my vehicle.. so I lost it on them and told them to stick their free big Mac up their arse..! McDonald's is a cowboy company and so is their insurance company in MALTA..! I'll never purchase another meal or visit a cowboy McDonald's ever again. Read moreSad to say, but of all the McDonald's I have visited, either due to working hours or outside of work, this is the worst I have been to/through, when waiting for the drive-through, I have regularly had to maneuver my vehicle and other drivers so someone can get out or park, it is the slowest drive-through I have ever used, regularly I have to ask how much my order is, as the staff fail to inform me, unfortunately it has become part of my routine when using this McDonald's, to ask the staff if the hot chocolate mixture is filled, simply because I have arrived home to find out that my hot chocolate is nothing but chocolate coloured water, which I consider to be extremely lax and poor service, especially when I specifically ask a member of staff every time I go through, of late I have even been told by a member of management that I was wrong about it being coloured water, and that is how there chocolate is served, they then proceeded to patronise me with an explanation of how the machine works, chocolate syrup and hot water, not difficult, but apparently more difficult than checking the machine regularly to ensure their customers get what they have ordered, too put simply, please check each part of your order before leaving or return and address any issues directly, with the hope that eventually they will train their staff to acknowledge customers professionally, efficiently and complete all...
