Cinnamon Tree — Restaurant in Wales

We had Bengal fish yesterday and it was as good as I had in Kolkata. Other dishes were excellent too. Cinnamon Tree understands the subtle range of indian spice flavours. it's not one of those restaurants which kill flavour with chilli in order to sell more beer. Service also good, attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended. Looking at the many reviews exactly 2 months ago, these seem to be a campaign to undermine this restaurant. Ate at the Cinnamon Tree last Friday - what a treat! My friend and I have been touring England and Wales for two weeks, and this was our last meal before my friend returned to France. We could not have chosen a better finale! My friend is an excellent cook, and his view was that it surpassed anything he could do. Very fresh and comforting Indian and Bengali dishes cooked very nicely with good flavour and cooking of the various spices. Some dishes probably need a bit a more seasoning to balance out the dishes and bring out the spices better, but apart from that it was a very good meal and definitely value for money.
