Well looked after gardens set away from the road and next to the large river walk and fields, but hidden away behind a line of trees. Lots of flowers and seats. Play area for kids and big enough not to get to crowded. Photo taken of Linda Vista House on Black & White Infrared 720nm. 2nd photo is of the large field with pathway that leads to the town along the river and to the Castle and gardens . 3rd photo of the field walk next to the river .Many thanks Ian Worrell Focus Weddings

What a beautiful place to visit for a slice of tranquility just a stones throw from Abergavenny town centre. Dog friendly (on leads) lovely grassy open spaces for you to stroll around and admire the gorgeous flowers, trees and wildlife. There is a little cafe just as you come into the entrance selling food and drinks, there are also toilets in the garden. Definitely recommend this park if you want space to wonder and re-set ❤️

Beautiful, well kept public garden with free entry. After passing the gates for many years, we decided on a lovely Bank Holiday Monday we'd pop in for a look on our way back to the car park. We were amazed at how well kept the public gardens are and how big it was. Excellent for a picnic or catching up on your reading under the shade of the many beautiful trees there. Shame we didn't discover it years before.

This is a great spot for a bit of quiet, a short dog walk or a coffee stop (cafe has limited opening hours so check before you go). Easy access from town or a short walk from Byfield Lane car park or the Castle Meadows, into a pretty garden with seating and lots of flowers.
