After thinking the best the coffee world had to offer was McDonald’s and Costa, the latter I would go passing here but always catching eye.
I finally tried Monty’s (this was sometime ago), upon placing and receiving my order I asked the Main Man, ‘do you have any white sugar?’, to which he replied, ‘no white, only brown, Butt. We’re a coffee shop.’
Adding the sugar to my coffee and breaking his (coffee) heart my fate was sealed and from there on I was known as The Bastard and the rest was history!
Monty’s set me on a path of independent coffee shops and leaving the commercial behind. But what started as me going to other shops quickly turned into me returning to the best.
Time after time 🔥☕️🔥.
Now in all seriousness, from the shop to the staff to the coffee to the vibe and atmosphere it gives off it’s all immaculate. I love seeing all the Welsh produce and artisan goodies. Everything is of the highest quality.
The staff always polite and cordial. Always greeted when I come in and made to feel welcomed, always wished a nice day or a safe journey if and when we’re off somewhere and always, always asked, ‘how many today?’

Really good drink and will...

It's a shame, as the quality of the coffee and limited food is of good quality, but don't expect us to revisit when we all noticed a strained atmosphere created by the owner. We travelled...
