Since seeing Monty’s in the Indy Coffee Guide, I’ve been so keen to try it out, and it didn’t disappoint! Coffee was on point, I also had a blueberry muffin which was unreal. The atmosphere and vibe of the place was so chilled even though the cafe was busy and the staff were great. Also had a really nice selection of Welsh produce which is always great to see. 10/10!!

Modern, tastefully furnished cafe with a glowing welcome. My cappuccino was perfect, as was the friendly service. So nice to have new business in our town, I will bring the family and try a cake next visit! I wish Montys every success

Beautiful little venue. Great lightning, welcoming friendly staff and one of the best coffees I've had around the area. Strongly reccomend. Kind regards, the gentleman in the helmet.

After thinking the best the coffee world had to offer was McDonald’s and Costa, the latter I would go passing here but always catching eye.

I finally tried Monty’s (this was sometime ago), upon placing and receiving my order I asked the Main Man, ‘do you have any white sugar?’, to which he replied, ‘no white, only brown, Butt. We’re a coffee shop.’

Adding the sugar to my coffee and breaking his (coffee) heart my fate was sealed and from there on I was known as The Bastard and the rest was history!

Monty’s set me on a path of independent coffee shops and leaving the commercial behind. But what started as me going to other shops quickly turned into me returning to the best.

Time after time 🔥☕️🔥.

Now in all seriousness, from the shop to the staff to the coffee to the vibe and atmosphere it gives off it’s all immaculate. I love seeing all the Welsh produce and artisan goodies. Everything is of the highest quality.

The staff always polite and cordial. Always greeted when I come in and made to feel welcomed, always wished a nice day or a safe journey if and when we’re off somewhere and always, always asked, ‘how many today?’

Could not ask for a better coffee or service, my own qualm is I wish I had the time to sit inside more often and watch Neath go it’s way window-side with the best coffee in...

Just walked out of Monty's less than 30 minutes ago with a Cortado in my hand. I've had many Cortados across all manner of chains ( I know) and independent coffee houses and this may just be one of the best. It stopped me mid walk when I first took a drink!

Had a pleasant chat with who I assume is the owner and he spoke about the coffee he was making as well as some other general life stuff which was more than fine.

I had a little look round and they had a good selection of local and foreign wares such as bread, milk, local ham, eggs, cheese etc which was great to see and something I'll be going back for soon.

Really good drink and will...

We travelled a great distance for a good coffee and atmosphere. Whilst we have had reasonable experiences in the past, our last visit was very disappointing. We were initially politely welcomed, but when the owners friend turned up, we seemed to be a hindrance to him. My wife was served her tea at the table, but it was noticeable that our coffees were left on the side and we were summoned to collect them, in a rude manner. It's a shame, as the quality of the coffee and limited food is of good quality, but don't expect us to revisit when we all noticed a strained atmosphere created by the owner. We travelled...
