Apart from a few teething issues regarding the booking and trying to make an alteration over the phone where the booking could not be found, I cannot fault Mythos. We went as a group of 6, arriving as 2 separate parties. We arrived 2nd and our party was found and we were seated with them. It was fairly busy when we arrived, with all but one table seated. As a result, the orders took a time to be taken, but as they were busy, this was easily forgiven. Beautifully decorated inside, pretty simply with lots of wood and white linen. Very Greek style. The waiting staff were efficient, polite and courteous . The orders were taken with a minimum of fuss. The starters arrived surprisingly quickly and were well presented and tasty. Mains followed once our table had been cleared, and were hot, fresh and once again very tasty. Drinks flowed all night, and as an apology for the mix up on the phone, they gave us a bottle of prosecco and glasses with strawberries in by way of an apology. This was a complete surprise, but very welcome indeed. Thank you Mythos for that. Pudding had almost all run out by the time we ordered them, but the cheesecake and milk pie were very enjoyable. Overall a very enjoyable night, reasonably priced for the food. Would very much recommend. 5/5

Used a £79 Groupon voucher for four, three courses with a cocktail and a glass of wine, although they weren't able to do cocktails on the night we went. Overall a very good value deal. The restaurant is lovely inside. On two levels with a vaulted ceiling, stone walls, wooden floors and beams. Lots of pretty fairy lights. Lovely pita bread was served with the starters. We asked if we could take the leftover bread home and they boxed it up with some dips! Good service. Portions are generous. Food generally very good. Excellent Calamari and pork in tomatoe sauce to start. Good rib eye steak (maybe slightly underseasoned). Good lamb chops. Fries are nicely seasoned. Nice beef casserole. Excellent sea bass fillet. Nice Baklava and milk pudding, Greek walnut cake was a bit dry/bland. Toilets could do with a bit of a tidy up but overall a good restaurant.

I read the reviews prior to our visit, so figured it would be hit or miss... I can honestly say, for the value of the voucher (groupon) and the service/food received, we got a good deal! Service was good, food was good (the fries, proper yummy!), despite a few things not available, no problem, bit of improvising = all good.... Will we come here again none voucher related ? Yes, most certainly will. The atmosphere for the restaurant mid-week = real nice, lighting and decor adds to the experience. Going back to the many reviews i read through beforehand, as above, that can be hit and miss in any place. I would recommend giving Mythos a try before discarding the idea based on reviews, as we all know, each is entitled to there opinion :) :)

We visited 3 years ago and had a really lovely meal and the service and atmosphere was spot on. It’s a lovely building and very well decorated. However we revisited last night and to say it was really disappointing was an understatement. We arrived at 1830 and the restaurant downstairs was quiet. We were seated and drink and food menus were brought over. The waitress explained there were a few cocktails missing and some dishes missing from the menus. We ordered drinks and were left to look at the food menu. 20 minutes later I asked her to come over so we could order food and asked about our drinks. She explained that the bar staff would not arrive until 1900hrs. My short cocktail then arrived with a very long straw.. I asked for a short one which seemed to put the waitress out a bit and she explained she’d have to cut one in half which I said was fine no problem. Starters arrived not to long after and it was lovely, very nice calamari with olives and pitta. At around 1945 we were told that we would still wait for our main due to a large table upstairs and that the chef was on his own. 2025hrs our main arrived. This is a substantial wait for a main, my arrived the lamb chops and it looked nice, I asked for some vinegar which arrived in a small dish, she apologised and said that the pourers were all dirty! my husbands mixed grill was cold. He ate the rather small lamb chop and also found an item missing from his mixed grill. Then kebabs were stone cold. We asked the waitress over an explained and she took it back to the kitchen, she was gone a few minutes and came back and said you’ve eaten most of it so we can re heat the rest. My husband tried to explain that he’d only had the chop and an item was missing and she dismissed him. We explained we were happy to pay for the rest of the meal but not his as it was as described and it was cold. She walked away from the table and returned a few minutes later and threw the bill down and said I’ve taken £10 off. And walked away. I then had to go to see her to ask to see the manager. The manager came over, we explained that we were happy to pay for the rest of the meal however not the mixed grill. She explained that the chef was stressed due to being on his own and they had a large party upstairs and her staff were not highly trained. She explained that the meal would have been reheated in someone else’s juices in their mixed grill and not microwaved. She deducted the mixed grill from the bill which was appreciated. I feel that this could have been avoided, a large pre booked party and also continuing to take booking means you might need some more staff. It’s the little details that make coming for a meal a good experience. 3 years ago this place was great, now not so much. We wouldn’t revisit. Better value for money, and better...

I recently went here with friends. I haven't been for years so it was really nice to see how it had improved decor wise inside. We asked for a wine menu but the owner said they don't have one but he can tell us what they do have and then proceeded to rattle some off, he started to slow down as he tried to recall what they sell so we settled on pinot grigio. I think a wine menu would be a good addition so you can read about the various wines to help make your choice and know the price. The menu is varied. We were just having a catch up so decided on some meze so we could have a selection of meals while we chatted. The food was very nice. It is a bit pricey for what it is and I know this put my friends off a bit they won't be returning in a hurry. I used the toilet upstairs and was surprised to see it was littered with paper which reminded me of Saturday nights when it used to be rammed and there was paper all over the downstairs toilets, however we were here on a Tuesday night 😏 the company made this night what it was, but I am glad I got to...
