Had a gorgeous afternoon tea here with my partner today. The staff were so friendly and efficient, and the whole vibe of the tea room felt very cosy and welcoming. There was a great section of sandwiches and sweets, and a really interesting choice of teas. Unfortunately, the bread if one of our sandwiches was mouldy, but as soon as this was raised with staff, they immediately apologised and made us a whole new batch from scratch. As a very generous gesture, they even offered us both a glass of prosecco on the house by way of apology. We could not have asked for a better service When we did get to tuck in, the food was just delicious! The scones were perfectly warm and sweet, and I loved the little touch of mini pots of angel delight as part of the sweets plate. Will definitely visit again on our next trip to Chepstow.

Best brunch tea ever. My god-daughter asked me to take her for a tea party on Sunday and I was desperately looking up where we could go. I found this place and it was perfect. The staff were so friendly and kind, when they realised she wanted a tea party they gave her apple juice in a tea pot and a beautiful layered plates with little snacks on. Perfect for a tea party. It’s very cute in here and I also got some breakfast food and a coffee for me too! I will definitely be coming back with her as she had such a good time. Very reasonable priced too!

We visited on a Saturday for afternoon tea. The cafe is warm and cosy and the staff are friendly and attentive. The afternoon tea is one of the best we've had, great value for money. The scones were huge and the selection of drinks was fantastic. For a fussy eater the selection of sandwiches were great. Would definitely go there again and would be happy to take my baby and toddler next time as the facilities for baby change was really well thought out. Great little cafe to visit and would highly recommend.

A mixed experience. Let's start with the good. The food was good, the staff were delightful the decor is charming. So why not a five star? Well it was a lovely sunny day and although we would have liked to sit inside there was insufficient space. We sat out. Although the tables could have had sun umbrellas, they didn't and the sun was hot. We sat and we sat having been brought menus and finally I went in and ordered in the restaurant. It was very counter intuitive as it was table service and the menus had be brought out. We were sitting in the street on the last day before reopening to traffic. I have to say that sounds like an error. Had there been traffic I would not want to sit there. It's also surprising when restaurants with outside space don't maintain the cleanliness as they would indoors. We were sitting amongst cigarette buts and discarded bottles. It would only take minutes to sweep each morning. So a bit of a mixed bag. it's sort of very British to run customer service in this way. If you go it will be nice but you may find the service a little...

It's an absolutely amazing tea room.

This tea room has exceptionally good cakes and sandwiches. Also, pennines wraps daily special and even a special curry on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Everything we had was freshly prepared, unlike the coffee chains near by it was busy, so we had a little wait for food, but I'd rather that than a meal made in a factory.

The person serving was so friendly and welcoming.

Cleanliness was great it was absolutely spotless.

Due to the very old age of the building, access is a bit tight if you have a wheelchair ♿️ but it's worth the effort the staff will I'm sure make you love your visit as much as I did.

I loved the charm and feel of the place also.

If you live local or just visiting, this has to be on you, go to list.

I honestly have to say it was the best pennine I've ever had. Can't wait to make a return visit. I'm going to try amthr special...

Where do I start. I booked Marmalade for my best friends baby shower. We had the most amazing day. The high tea was delicious. I cannot fault the service. The weather was so hot so they provided fans and an air con unit. Nothing was too much trouble. They even stayed open an extra hour for us to enjoy our shower to the fullest. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely be going there again. Plus a shout out to the owners for being so hospitable to everyone. They made my job of being host so much easier. Thank you Marmalade Tea Rooms for being the perfect venue for the best baby shower. Plus putting up with my craziness. Corralling 15+ women takes a lot of planning and organisation. You made the day go so smooth. We will never forget it. Thank you so much to you all the whole team. Forever in your gratitude....
