Along with the castle this riverside park was once a true jewel in the crown of Chepstow. That was before it got wrecked after being overstuffed with 'features' of which the 'Silver Spud' is the most grotesque! Some of the features would be fine in isolation (not the silver spud I hasten to add) but stuffed into what is a small corner of the park, alongside the more usual park artefacts, they look ridiculous.

Read moreSuch an amazing park for all friends and family. Located on the bank of the River Wye, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy the sights and nature of Wales. I would’ve found it more relaxing however there were some Jet skiers on the River Wye during our visit which was quite frustrating. Regardless, it’s a beautiful place to enjoy the day! There’s a bandstand nearby that occasionally performs musical events (there were none during our visit however). Plenty of history too!...
