We didn't know what to expect but seeing the reviews we'd thought we'd give it a try. We arrived at 18.15 and was given a choice of anywhere to sit. We chose a table then attended to by a lovely young lady, I was unaware the this restaurant doesn't have a licence which didn't bother us too much. The staff even offered to get me a drink from next door (The Victory Club) which I kindly declined, we ordered 2 Poppadoms & chutney tray, a portion of Onion Bhaji a portion of Sheek Kebab which both tasted gorgeous. I had the Chicken Pathia (hot) whilst my wife had the Chicken Bhuna we shared a mushroom rice & Garlic Naan. Everything tasted brilliant, the flavour, colour & texture was spot on, we couldn't fault any of it. The portions were so big my wife had to bring half of hers home which the restaurant helped by suppling plastic containers. The young ladies who served us we're lovely & the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend the New Rhyl Spice & we'll definitely...
Read moreI didnt want to wright this review if I'm honest but as a food critic I have to be honest with people. Upon first glance it looks pretty well presented until you enter. The waiter's there are presented in stained shirts and food covered pants. The napkins have holes in and seat covers stained with food of some sort leading me to believe the seats them selves must be in bad condition. The starter I orded of prawn puri was no longer available, (must admit I was disappointed at that) then my main was a lamb buriani and for dessert well I didnt order one due to the fact when I orded my main I asked for a nice bottle of shiraz to accompany my lamb main and was told that they have no alcohol in at the moment but they was ok for me to go to a shop and supply my own. Not the best start to a first time visitor to the establishment. Poorly presented upon entering and not very nice to sit in someone else's meal splashes. So again I won't be entertaining this place for the shocking...
Read moreWent for a weekend break in Wales and made the mistake of visiting Rhyl spice. The guy who took our order was rude and lacked basic communication skills. I witnessed this same man barking at the waitress and left some poor guy on his first day to apologise for the catalogue of errors that took place that evening.
We arrived at 7pm and gave our order shortly after, yet we received our meal at 8.30. The dish i received was not what i had ordered and we had to ask for some plates in order to finally begin eating. By the time the food came out, my children were hungry, irritable and restless as a result of being made to wait for so long to eat, which spoilt any chance of being able to enjoy eating.
I complained to the rude guy who im assuming was the manager and he knocked off £27 off the bill which is the least he couldve done considering we had such an awful experience. Would not recommend. Will not be...
