Oriental Garden Rhydycar Leisure Park — Restaurant in Wales

They decided to not tell me they were closing the buffet within 30 minutes of us paying and sitting down. They didn’t even mention that it would be closing shortly, just turned off the lights and all the staff started taking the food that was left, despite us still eating. We raised this with the staff, who were exceptionally unprofessional, including outright lying about the advertised closing time, and blaming an absent manager when proven wrong. I did eventually speak to the manager (who was supposedly not in the first time I asked, until the phone was handed over), who was just as rude and dismissive, and again lied to me, telling me CCTV showed the staff had asked if we had finished - I would love to see that footage, if it even exists! The food was rubbish too - ‘crispy pork’ instead of crispy duck to save costs, bland, many of the dishes only had leftover portions in the tray, and in the short time I was there, we noticed 3 times they topped up several dishes with water to bulk them out - but not receiving the advertised service then being lied to and hung up on should demonstrate the low calibre of the business - best to take your...

My family and I have been here a few times and no issues today we arrived at 4.10pm the owner or manager said we have to leave by 5 for the evening meal buffet now we was charged 61.80 for 2 adults and 2 children and I gave her 80 to pay and she short changed me to which I queried and she said she didn't so put me off I was 10 down. The buffet selection wasn't good not the usual and the food was cold my husband had one plate of chicken curry and as he tucked in there was a fly in his food I went to complain the woman said he put the fly in which he didn't I told her that the selection of food and the price we paid was disgusting she shrugged her shoulders I asked is she going to offer any compensation she refused so I am putting this review down as I am absolutely disgusted when my family have been going there alot it's not cheap there no atmosphere so will not return...

Extraordinarily poor service. Delivery arrived an hour late. Driver handed food and rushed off. Curry was sat at the bottom of the bag out of the container. Food was barely warm. Very disappointing service. When we contacted the restaurant we were told as the driver told them the food was fine when it was handed to us we were not entitled to a refund or have the food remade. We had to take the food back to the restaurant to show the condition it was in. There was no attempt at an apology from the restaurant. I’ve been a loyal customer to this business for many years but this experience tonight and the way we have been treated has made me want to take my business elsewhere.
