Tafarn-Y-Trap — Restaurant in Wales

Came here the other day with two of my mates. As soon as we walked through the doo we could tell that this place wouldn’t be up to much, but we have it a chance. We walked in and the bartender just stared at us, not even greeting us. We sat down and then we had to go up to the bar to even get a menu. The menu had to be the most run down thing I had ever seen (apart from the actual pub) the menu was limited and was just a laminated piece of paper which was ruined. After a while we got served, the woman who served us was extremely rude all she said was “what do you want for food” in a horrible tone not even offering us drinks so we had the food with not drinks, so we went up to the bar to order drinks, the girl who served us drinks was lovely but the other woman was horrible. The food was average (gammon was more salty than the sea) the pub itself was run down and the service was awful....

We visited here based on the reviews we read on Google. Unfortunately our experience here was completely different to the other reviews. The staff were lovely and I can't fault them at all but the food was terrible. The meal had been cooked hours before and then microwaved just before serving, meaning the chicken was very rubbery and the cheese, that was supposed to be melted over the top, was a rubbery, lumpy mess. Called in for a beer a few times and it's amazing compared to before. Honestly can wait for them to start doing food as closer places (u know who u are) have gotten to big for your boots and really don't care. I worked in the industry for years and if a meal came back virtually untouched ide be asking the customer...
