We ordered a kids Mac & cheese, Thai green curry & Fish pie. Food was hot and tasted great. But upon my 19 months old having eaten, like 5 pasta, a fly landed in the gooey cheese and got stuck. Horrified, we used a napkin to contain the fly. I took it to the waitress and asked if we could get a replacement since there’s a fly in it, only to be responded with the most unenthusiastic tone; ā€œwe can’t control the fliesā€. I was taken aback, unsure what to say and obviously with returned to a very unimpressed wife when I told her. We looked to see what else we could order for her, but the wife then questioned the hygiene of the restaurant due to the amount of flies in the restaurant, therefore, she didn’t want to order again for the little one. So, if you don’t mind eating with one hand, and using the other to squat flies away during your meal. Then make sure, you come visit The Angel.

Note - upon paying, the lady said she took off the cost of the kids meal, the wife just paid it without looking at the bill. But calculating it, I think they did take it off but added the service on top anyway. I have no problem paying for service, if it was decent. But it’s obvious the team of young staff didn’t want to be working there. Oh well, we won’t be returning. But I’m sure the locals will continue to enjoy...

We unexpectedly popped in here yesterday (Saturday 2nd August) looking for food and drink after exploring Tenby and on our way back to Maenclochog. We expected to be turned away since it was a Saturday evening, but the staff pulled tables together for our group of 6 and couldn’t have been more accommodating!

Since we’d never visited before, we didn’t realise the accessible entrance was round the back so we had to go back round again - note to other wheelchair users! Accessible entrance is from the public car park behind, to the left of the public toilets - follow the path round through another small car park and the pub is on the left (tarmac is a little bumpy but nothing prohibitive).

Our food was delicious, and service was fast. We were looked after by wonderful friendly staff, who made our evening extra special - it was a 60th birthday for one member of our group and our server bought a birthday banner for the table and at the end bought the chocolate mints with a candle in! It was so lovely and above and beyond, especially for a group that hadn’t booked and no pre-warning! Great range of drinks including guest ales.

Fantastic pub and one we will certainly visit again when back in the...

We are local to Narberth. We decided last minute to go for a meal at The Angel as we didn't feel like cooking. We hadn't booked a table but were accommodated anyway. We had been told by many that the food there is delicious. To start we had an antipasto share starter of meats, cheese and olives, absolutely beautiful. Our main meal, my husband had a 10oz Gamon Steak with a perfectly fried egg, pineapple jus, peas and chunky chips which he said was delicious. I had a burger which had bacon, crunchy lettuce, tomato, onion and their own cheesey dressing with Sweet Potato Fries, the beef burger was all meat made out of minced steak, was 8oz, thick and beautifully juicy, a really yummy burger. We had a side of home made beer battered onion rings which were huge, we shared those. We couldn't manage desert as we were so full. Recommend The Angel for eating out very much. You will not be disappointed! They don't have a huge menu as they change it quite often along with the seasonal availability of ingredients, vegetables etc as it is all locally...

What a gem of a place this is! We popped in on spec on our journey home to Swansea from Goodwick, and we are so glad we did. The place is beautifully renovated and the atmosphere is wonderful. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the staff were so accommodating. Then there's the food. The food was a gastronomic delight. Utterly sublime and served in what has to be the fastest time ever on any visit to a restaurant or hotel I have ever frequented. The drinks were a revelation too. Please try the seaweed gin. It's gorgeous! And from a local supplier. We had a wonderful chat with Mary and Peter, a couple sat in the nook opposite our table, who turned out to be Louise the owners parents, and they filled us in on the work that has gone into making The Angel what it is now. Congratulations guys on a beautiful venue with everything we could possibly rate as a 5⭐ from us!

After having to walk out of another establishment in Narberth last night, we popped in here hoping they could squeeze us in, not really expecting them to as it was pretty full and getting quite late. Firstly we were greeted by a huge smile and welcome and soon told of course we can sit to eat, and shown to a table. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay and we really felt welcomed here. The food was incredible, I had the rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection, my mum had the lamb rump which she said was also perfect. We also shared the red wine & bone marrow gravy which was absolutely stunning, I wish we'd ordered more of it! Highly recommended, beautiful place with a really cosy atmosphere, huge outdoor space too.
