The Cob & Pen — Restaurant in Wales

I really don’t know where to start! I booked in at this lovely gem of a pub only yesterday as I was looking for an overnight stay. I arrived and was greeted by a lovely young lady who introduced me to the owner. As he was grabbing my key I had a bit of a nosy around and it was filled by everyday folk laughing and joking and soaking up the lovely weather that the day brought. There was a lovely smell of fresh cooking food and tables were soon filling up with the amazing deals on offer. Anyway I was shown to my room, we walked to the rear of the building and up a few short stairs to my room. Wow 🤩 the room was absolutely stunning! I had the family room due to being fully booked which I wasn’t bothered about as it was big enough for a small family. The fixtures and fittings were luxurious with fantastic decoration. A huge telly was waiting for me to watch the sport of my choice however there were more tv’s awaiting downstairs in the pub areas. I decided to check this place out and wandered into the bathroom which again was fitted with a bath with shower over, a toilet and sink. The shared kitchen was like a showroom kitchen fully fitted with everything you could ask for however for the prices and menu on offer I’d prefer to tuck in downstairs and leave the cleaning to someone else. Lol

I would highly recommend this place it is by far the best place I have found for an amazing low price.

Found this great pub on our second night in Rhyl.The place is absolutely amazing with a great choice of traditional and smooth flow beers and lagers.The staff couldn't do enough for us.Felt completely safe with covid measures in place.Large outside area with live music on Wednesday night.Brilliant night had by all.Didn,t get the opportunity to try lunchtime food menu,but locals say the food is good and reasonably priced.Kids allowed in till 1800.This pub is a credit to the owners and we will be...

One of the best pubs in Rhyl, Amanda and Noel are friendly and very welcoming, from a private function to watching the rugby/football you are given incredible service, they go out of their way for all holidays and their charity nights always go down well, the food is delicious and inexpensive and Christmas lunch is a treat worth waiting a year for, live entertainment is also an added bonus here, all in all the Cob and Pen is a must to visit...
