I stayed for just the one night mid week in March and really enjoyed the stay. The New Court In is a pub with a number of rooms upstairs and there's a separate entrance if you're arriving late or leaving early. It's located in the centre of USK with all the amenities a short walk away. You can park outside on the street for free. The staff are fantastic, friendly and welcome you like their best ever guest and the rooms are comfortable with decent bedding and a really comfortable mattress ensuring a good night's sleep. My room was compact with a small ensuite and typical in size for buildings of this type. Tea & a pod coffee machine or on hand and you get fresh milk in a little thermos rather than the uht stuff that is common, this was a nice touch. Food was very good indeed - home made burger and gigantic onion rings was my choice for dinner and there's a home cooked breakfast in the morning with proper thick toast that's actually toasted and hot! Tea comes in a pot and you get a mug, another nice touch. You have to preorder breakfast the night before so it's pretty much ready when you get down in the morning. It's a great place to stay or eat. Try it you will not be...
Read moreAmazing pub. Went there three days in a row each time it offered something else.
Friday evening - We walked the Dog (they allow dogs in always a bonus with me) to the pub sat by the fire had a quite pint.
Saturday evening - They were having Octoberfest with live bands. A group of us meet up for some German beer and cracking live music. Really good night atmosphere was amazing.
Sunday afternoon - Feeling a little sorry for our self's and knowing thier Sundays dinners are amazing we went again taking the two dogs. (If you want to bring your dog's when having food best phone and book a table letting them know before hand as there are only selected areas that's dogs are allowed.
I can't recommend this pub enough plenty of tables for a quiet romantic evening.
Bar area for just a drink, Real fire, guest ales and ciders, and above all good...
Read more5 people stayed in 3 separate rooms. First impressions the stair carpet to the rooms was extremely dirty had not been cleaned for some considerable time. The stairs themselves are steep and winding and somewhat dangerous in places having steps right outside the door of the twin. The whole place was cold and in need of a good clean. The central heating did come on but only luke warm. The beds were comfortable and the bedding clean and of good quality. The shower rooms were strange with more steps into the shower. The road is busy and therefore very noisy early. The breakfast was dreadful. Ordered items missing, toast was still white had to ask to redo, ingredients were of poor quality, cheap and greasy and Luke warm. For £99 per room, including the twin with single occupancy it was grossly overpriced. Would not return...
