The Castle Inn Usk — Restaurant in Wales

Booked Sunday lunch here as we were staying a night locally and it had some good reviews. We were sat in the front bar area rather than the rear restaurant section and preferred this as it was seemed a little cosier with a nice atmosphere.

Great job all round, delicious and well served food together with attentive service from the friendly barman. The roast beef was very tender and plentiful, good depth of flavour on the gravy, well cooked veg and a very impressive Yorkshire pub! What more could you want. The kids fish and chips was maybe a touch on the expensive side at £8 but didn't change what was a great Sunday lunch experience!

Desserts are made in house and the sticky toffee pudding was enjoyed by us all. We'd definitely return if we were passing and would certainly recommend to others, especially considering how many pubs are in the immediate area! Great job all round and a very strong five...

What a find...... not very often I give 5* all round but a last minute booking for our return journey home, following a trip to Shropshire to buy a motorhome. Wonderful dog friendly Inn situated in the pretty village of Usk. Very warm welcome on arrival buy a member of staff, who showed us to our spacious room in the attic of this lovely country pub. As we arrived early evening we got a well needed drink, before we were shown to our table. Food was amazing, excellent value for money and served by friendly attentive staff. Great night's sleep, with a continental breakfast provided in the room, small fridge even had fresh milk, fruit juices & yoghurt in. Highly recommended & if travelling again nearby wouldn't hesitate in booking...

An impromptu decision to visit the Castle Inn after dropping our daughter to her prom near by. So glad we did!!

Amazingly friendly greeting and prompt service in a delightful setting.

The Castle is under new management (4 weeks at the time of writing) and if their quality of food is to go by at this initial point in time is anything to go by, then this place is going to become very popular.

The food was delicious and very efficiently delivered. Presentation was excellent.

Sometimes, spur of the moment decisions always turn out for the best and I'm so glad we made the right decision to visit this great place.
