Went here a couple of weeks ago and again yesterday the pub has a large free car park, outside seating areas and is set off the main road so has a more schueled feel. Inside is quite modern looking and clean, there is friendly service and a good selection of drinks and food. The wait for food is quick and is tasty and good portion sizes. I had the American platter which I enjoyed the bbq sause was a bit different and tasty there is a darts board, and for children a grabber machine and some ÂŁ1 toy machines. Children are allowed in till 9pm. There is disabled access and restroom, baby changing, restrooms and a smoking area.

On first reveal I was taken back by how much rubbish and litter there was in the garden. Bins over following and rubbish all over the place. The service was great by the one girl and the other one didn’t look like she wanted to serve me. However this didn’t matter the services were friendly and helpful. The steak I had was amazing came out with fresh mushrooms and onion rings which I was shocked to see for a very reasonable price to. The chips were somewhat cold but wasn’t freezing cold. Overall lovely place and stunning food. The garden just needed a good clean.

First time visiting this place, I ordered cheesy garlic bread for starters, there was 4 big slices, too much for me,so I shared it with my friends. I ordered Tandoori skewers, which came on a bed of peppers and chilli, I must have bit into a chilli, which was under the chicken skewer.. đŸ”„đŸ”„ đŸ”„, but all very gorgeous. Te'o ordered fish and chips, which came out huge. The pudding was my daughter's, she absolutely loved it. The lady serving was lovely, she was chatting with me and my friend.

First off I'd like to say that myself & my family have been to the nine giants many times & have never had any complaints but this evening was a whole different matter.

My wife had booked us a table for 6pm as a treat for my birthday. We arrived on time & made our way to our table. We ordered 3 starters & 3 mains. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy it took over half an hr for our starters to arrive at the table although they were well cooked & hot on arrival.

The main issue came with the main meals. The 1st main meal was brought out, it was then another 10mins before the 2nd arrived & then a further 5mins for the final main to come to the table. The final meal arrived which was a philly steak. I had asked for it to be well cooked but it was cooked medium at most. I had also asked for no tomatoes or mushrooms which it did. The steak was also topped with broccoli florets which were not mentioned in the menu. The waitress that I spoke to was lovely & said that a fresh steak would be cooked for me the way that I ordered it. I waited a further 20mins for the new steak to arrive & when it did it was even more under cooked that the original steak. It was then that we asked for our money back which they did.

While waiting for the mains to arrive I went to the bar to order some soft drinks. There were a few people in front of me so I was happy to wait but there was only 1 person serving who decided that despite there being a queue she would have a chat for about 5/10 mins with the regulars that she was serving. Once I finally got served I was told that no soft drinks could be served from the pumps as there was a problem with the gas all the while my son & wife had almost finished there main meals.

All in all what should have been a wonderful treat for my birthday was a huge...

Started fine, asked for a table and got seated quickly. Tried using app didn't work for me. Asked to order, manager came over, wasn't happy about it. Didn't show any enthusiasm. Ordered our food and drinks, we said thanks. He grumbled and walked off. Brought the drinks over, I said thanks, he just grumbled again and walked off. Didn't say your welcome or anything. Waited over 30mins for food. Came over not hot, just warm. Food was average, only eat the food because we were so hungry and just wanted to eat food. After finishing the food sat there for 20 mins, staff walked past us, never came to our table to see how the meals were during eating the food. Tried asking to pay, didn't take notice of us. I walked up to the bar to ask to pay, manager said would be over in 2 mins, was dealing with a customer that was also not happy with their meal. Got given a refund. After asking a waitress, she came over, took payment and didn't say thank you or have a nice evening. When walking out walked past the manager, didn't say thank you or anything. Seems like they don't appreciate customers coming to have a meal or drink. Customers pay their bills, so they can earn money, get hours. I work in customer service myself. Customers are how you get to live a nice warm house and not on the...

I’m a regular at the nine giants but after today I won’t be returning. My mum and I were in the queue to order food. There was a long queue out the door as it was very busy but this wasn’t the issue. We were in the queue for almost 20 minutes and a ‘local’ pushed right to the front because he wanted another beer. A man behind me who was obviously a friend of this man told him to get in the queue. He replied that he’s not queuing to get his drink. When we got to the front to be served I informed them that this guy should of waited his turn like everyone else and it’s not right he be served knowing others are waiting while he can just push in and demand his drinks. The man was clearly drunk and was shrugging his shoulders at me and my mum. He told me not to have a go at the staff in which I replied that I didn’t I was merely informing her that everyone else had to queue and so should he. My young daughter then come up to me asking if everything was ok and he continued to make comments. It seems drunk ‘ locals’ come first in this place and can treat other customers as they wish in their drunken states. Would not advise bringing families here to eat. We decided we would go somewhere else and left. Very very poor from the...
