The Thai Cafe — Restaurant in Wales

We were served fairly quickly and the gentleman who served us was very helpful in our questions.

For 2, we ordered a thai red beef curry and thai green chicken curry along with a side of spring rolls. Food came very quickly although they were busy (as it was a Saturday afternoon) and service again was great.

The food was superb! You can tell the chef knows their flavours. Portion size was very good considering the price (£6.50 for curry with rice or chips). The meals of others around us also looked very impressive and smelt lovely from afar. The curries were fragrant and were deep in flavour. Chips were okay and rice was very good.

Spring rolls were brilliantly crisp, a very impressive size and filled with a tasty filling! Whilst being served with a side salad and sweet chilli sauce, the price for £4.50 is very reasonable for what is clearly homemade and most importantly, filling and tasty!

For less than £20 we had a large meal each and we were very satisfied! Definitely will be coming back!...

If you haven’t tried The Thai Restaurant in Pontypridd Market yet, you’re missing out! The service is super quick, and the staff are friendly and checking in to make sure you’re happy. You really feel looked after.

The place has a top hygiene rating of 5, which is always great to see. The Thai menu is brilliant – loads of tasty options, and the spice level is spot on if you like a bit of heat. The food is really delicious, and the portion sizes are just right for one person.

What’s also handy is they have an English menu too, with things like full English breakfasts, jacket potatoes, toast, and more – perfect if you’re after something more familiar.

Even though it’s in the middle of Pontypridd Market, the vibe is really cool – kind of like you’re sitting in a little beach cabin. It’s a really nice place to relax and enjoy your food.

Left with a bad taste in my mouth and hole in my pocket. Despite expressing how disappointed we were with all three dishes we ordered (2 of which we left) full payment was taken and just an apology. The Panang Curry was way too salty (told that's how it is) the Beef Pad Thai dish the pad Thai noodles were stuck together uncooked and the beef over cooked and the special fried rice with pork was saturated in oil and completely unpalatable daughter only managed two spoonfuls. The pork was pork belly so very fatty. Extremely disappointed by the lack quality, the waiters response to our disappointment and this was after having to wait over half an hour even though quiet. Feel like I've been robbed. UPDATE 28/8: ON TOP OF ALL THIS MY WIFE HAS BEEN ILL WITH FOOD POISIONING ALL NIGHT MOST LIKELY...
