Friday 10th March 2023 This is the best real ale bar, in my opinion, in Cardiff This pub sells a plethora of real ales, some brewed by tiny rebels. It's next to the national sports stadium, and it's just a great place to drink great hand pumped ales it sells Well done all Monday 11th September 2023 Again, this place was visited This place does still have a great range of hand pumped ales on mostly brewed by Tiny Rebel, and a couple of hand pu.ped ciders can be had. This place is lively but easygoing I would say in my opinion for people drinking real ales in Cardiff this place isca must to drink in Friday 14th February 2025 This Cardiff pub is an essential visit for any real ale drinkers when drinking in Cardiff This large old-fashioned type place is a great music pub it has 3 really good drinking places inside it There was a multitude of real ales on, and the place and well-kept ales are a point of proof exactly what good staff can achieve 👍 Friday 19th September 2025 This pub I've done multiple reviews on and as always all my previous comments cannot be changed a fantastic real ale pub with a multitude of hand pulled ciders and ales on offer some from the tiny rebel brewery Has I stated in previous reviews this pub when drinking real ales in Cardiff is an...
Read moreI'm going against the populist grain with this but frankly this bar (not the beer) is massively overrated in my opinion. As a venue on a Friday/Saturday it's OK, very loud and busy but you can often find a seat surprisingly. Just the layout around the main bar is tight and a bit annoying to get round to the main seating areas and the decor is a bit naff. Service can be very slow at times. I appreciate the fact it's open late though. My main issues with is more the cleanliness; Numerous times people I know have a been quite sick from both food (non-cooked food items left on bar not covered properly all day in a warm environment) and the beer here. Having run a large venue years ago my main compliant is how often the lines seem to have not been cleaned properly and the taste left in the beer and a likely explanation for sickness, albeit this was quite some time ago. Another factor, is it's overpriced frankly (particularly bottles) for what it is and a more personal dislike is the hipster crowd. Basically it's a bit like going to a Brewdog in south London about 5+ years ago.
Overall it's not bad; it's just in my opinion distinctly average to good at best. But it did have an OK arcade machine round the back and the Tiny Rebel beer is generally fairly...

Woke up to a grey and chilly Sunday in Cardiff: so after a zillion coffees to perk me up and staggering the streets in comfy sweats, today called for only one thing...a cosy Pub Sunday Lunch.
Half of my university tuition was pumped into Tiny Rebel…well behind their bar anyway. But I never gave my whole hearted attention to their food menu. And frankly - what the hell have I been doing with my life!?
🚨 So news in: Tiny Rebel are serving one of the best Sunday Roasts I’ve had in the city!!…and why have I just found this out!?
I mean just look at it - we were STUFFED! (Zoom into the menu to see the list of trimmings!)⚡️ The juiciest meat, crispiest roasties and sexiest little cauliflower cheese I’ve had!! Oh and that braised red cabbage, it was so reduced and smooth, it was like having sweet cabbage jam in my mouth! 🔥 yes please!!
We managed to grab a table before the lunchtime rush, but even that was a close call. So book ahead and enjoy what I’ve always believed to be the best pub atmosphere Cardiff has to offer. And guys at Cardiff Tiny Rebel, todays playlist was👌🏻!!
🍻 Attentive staff, gorgeous food, lush beer, banging music and doggo...
