Nice, Friendly Staff & plenty of covid guidance in place. Supported me to use App as was having difficulty - upon entry I was greeted by a group of Males smoking by main entrance & a Bin Lorry that stank , I don't smoke but could smell it when I sat down & had my drink - I found it unfair that Non Disabled people were using disabled toilets "because they regulars" yet I had to use toilets that felt like an age away - not the best wetberspoons I've been to but 4* is what I give as staff did try help me

Wetherspoons #116 The Gatekeeper is a large, two story pub, with a mezzanine level, situated on the northern side of the City Centre, nearly opposite the Principality Stadium. It is decorated in a more modern style, and felt more like a department store than a pub, with a glass lift between floors - which appeared to be in frequent use. There is also a second bar on the upper level. Rather busy when I visited and it took a few minutes to get served at the bar. Ordered a pint of Cwrw Gorslas beer, which was in good condition. Had breakfast at the Prince of Wales branch around an hour earlier, so didn't experience food on this occasion.

New Carpet! Usual Wetherspoons fare. Beer (real ale) is usually kept better at the moment. Problem is that depends very much on the diligence of the managers. This has not been so in the past and unfortunately there's no guarantee in the future. That's why some local breweries sneak in and make sure themselves. Currently on my list for food but unless I see something I fancy in the available beer I generally go with the wine as it's more difficult to screw up!

We stopped at this place on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. Ordering food and drinks was easy - we did it using the Wetherspoon app. When the food came (within 5-7 minutes), it looked and tasted like it was sitting around. But then our drinks did not show up for another 25 or so minutes. Their food and drink menu is rather large. This maybe be an ok place for drinks but definitely would not recommend it as a stop for someone wanting good/decent food.

I have been in a few Wetherspoons and found this one to be my worst experience yet . I ordered food sat down and discovered I had been short changed..to late to do anything about it! My food arrived and found that a small part was raw..a young man ask if everything was fine i explained i wasn't happy and that was the last I heard about it, I know you can't have it good all the time so I will chalk it up to experience and move on from it!
