Whitehall Hotel — Restaurant in Wales

Been here for about a week and visited Whitehall twice, both times the service has been very amazing and welcoming and generally kind. Atmosphere from when I’ve been here (4-8pm) has been calm and soothing despite the numerous of people in the pub. Portion sizes are considerably generous with the pricing and the food has been the best we’ve ate in Tywyn and local areas. Was hoping it to be a nice meal with my boyfriend for our anniversary but no! After waiting almost 2 hours for our food with it not even that busy, the food was apporling! My mash potato wasn't even mashed and everything was cold. We had no apology for the lateness of our food and the customer service was worst than the food, I had dirty looks from the workers which made me feel very uncomfortable! I wanted to get out of there a quick as possible, worst meal of my life. This place ruined our anniversary and our holiday, I would not recommend this...

We walked in with our 6 year old and the staff could not have been more unpleasant. The owner treated us like absolute dirt and I couldn't honestly understand why. We sat at an empty unreserved table and the owner made a point of going to whisper to a bar staff to tell us they were fully booked. I have never felt so unwelcome and wonder if this place is exclusive to "locals". Absolutely disgraceful especially given the last year! You would think the hospitality industry would have been welcoming...
